I have a Suzuki Santana SJ410 in my backyard that says differently. It has a 5 speed bolted to an F10A and it's all genuine.
So they do exist, just exceptionally rare.

Steve said "SIERRA 5 speed".. (IE : Australian issue)
Santana is Spanish. Therefore yours would be a private import... Exceptionally rare in Aust.

Hey all,I'm site newbie....89 swb w/t...almost 200k's katoomba
I just replaced cam cover gasket and adjusted tappets.....
Zook still tick tick tick(no its not a bomb)..had lost power and developed
oil leak, warmed her up,adjusted to hot clearance settings, closed her up
no leaks, powers back....but still tick tick....when checking for leaks i
took oil filler cap off to make sure tick was from there, didn't sound
like it was, more like exhaust manifold area of which i can see a couple
of studs missing(looks original manifold)
Question, could blown exhaust manifold gasket(s) or cracked/broken
manifold make a tappet like ticking noise? No smoke and no exhaust noise!
Also changing to penrite hpr30 with filter tomorrow if it is a noisy valve is
that the best oil to use?Would i have got in trouble for making a new thread?
Searched for exhaust and manifold but found zilch.
My old cam cover gasket was pretty stuffed, thanks guys

It is possible yes but more likely would be a psst psst noise not a tickNo smoke and no exhaust noise!

Pretty sure the book says use 15W-40 oil.Would i have got in trouble for making a new thread?.....
Probably only from Grimbo

If you do it again check the condition of the rockers where they touch the cam lobes. They are prone to wear a bit. Rockers can be ground or replaced if need be.
A bit more punctuation in your posts would help too.

Depeding on how you interpret sounds, a blown exhaust manifold gasket/loose exhaust manifold can deffinatley sound like a tick. I have had customers bring cars in describing that noise as a tick. Fix your studs and stick a new gasket in there. Check the manifold for cracks too while you got it off. Cracked manifolds usually whistle when you build up revs, but the blown/leaking gasket could deffinatley be the ticking noise. If not just go and play around on the redline, you will soon find the cause of the ticking

Thanks for the reply mate. Will change oil and exhaust gasket(and check
manifold)asap.Ticking is quieter than it was before adjusting tappets
but not gone,I think I'll have another go at the tappets while I'm at it,
will also check rockers at the cam lobe.It redlines easily
I should be nicer to her

Thanks guys, cory.

hi,
its another silly question i know.
Just wondering how to remove the steering wheel off a coily without damaging the horn push. Is it just pull until it comes off? I need to remove the wheel to fix a dodgy hazard light switch. Are there any easy ways to do either of these jobs?
Thanks
Joe

Thanks guys,it was tappets out of adjustment(my ticking noise).I guess
the motor was getting too cold in the time it took for me to adjust them.
Adjusting to cold settings worked well, thanks all......Cory.
p.s. I work on the car in the street in the mountains.
It doesn't stay hot for long.

If you can get the screws undone you can swap the Drover nose cone to Sierra One litre or it may be easier to swap the whole clip.
