ditch the huge lights on the windscreen. Or stop posting pics of your car with them! Your car is really cool, but with them on it just looks really stupid! Get rid of them NOW!!

Some info on the 40 [ "Kermit" ]
It was originally a 1979 Mustard Yellow BJ40 with a B diesel. I hate diesels, so I pulled the B donk and dropped in a 2F.
I bought the truck in Brisbane, (off the Aus 4WD Monthly forum) with the help of Andre - post above - and then had it imported into South Africa.
I then did a complete body off rebuild were "EVERYTHING" was overhauled or replaced.
- * Complete body off Rebuild took 8 months
* Every bearing and oil seal was replaced with new
* All nuts n bolts were re yellow passivated
* 2F motor was completely rebuilt
* Cogbox, axles, diffs, steering knuckles, brakes and transfer case completely rebuilt
* Exedy HD clutch - Safari Tuff
* Long Ranger aux tank from OOT4WD
* ARB lockers front and rear
* Safari snorkel
* 4" lift with Heystee Parabolic leaf springs
* Extended greaseable anti inversion shackles
* Pro comp shocks
* ARB front bar
* EVO bucket seats
* Dual charging system
* 1 x 75AH crank batt + 1 x 105AH deep cycle batt
* Goodyear Wrangler MTR's 33 x 12.5 x 15
* 30mm Aluminium Wheel Spacers
* Roof Console
* FJ60 series Power Steering was fitted
* Ceramic coated headers
* Side exit stainless free-flow exhaust
* Center console fridge
* Warn 9500 winch with 40mtr plasma rope
* Chrome Hella FF1000 Spotties
* 4WD1 Tough Dog RTC Steering Damper
Most of the parts and accessories were all imported from Australia
I am presently rebuilding another ex Oz Cruiser - this time a 1983 FJ40 LX
Should be finished by mid year 2010

The LX is in 101 pieces at the moment
The bodypanels, roof and tub are at the bodyshop having all the rust cut out and fixed. Also replacing the roof rain gutter
It will painted the same colour as the ICON Cruisers in the US a MATT Dark Gun Metal Silver
Here is a sample of the fender
This is what the LX looked like when we unpacked the container
some work in progress pics

Yes, I got it Sydney, it was a bit of a basket case, but the condition was not that important to me as I intended doing a full body off restoration anyways,
Together with this we also imported another LX from Melbourne and another FJ40 from Sydney
You guys will soon lose all your 40's to exports to South Africa and USA
