Slow weekend this weekend, tail lights installed, wired and almost working.
Inner guards welded in place, just need to seam seal them as well then the front clip can be painted.
The only hastle i see for this week is the reverse light switch. Which one is it? there are two lots of wires out of the top of the box and one from the front left corner. Anyone have any ideas?
Tail shafts actuaccy getting picked up monday, at last.
Looks like i may be going beadlocked 15x10's just need to check the offsets.

If you are using the 1300 sierra box, two of the switches are 4th & 5th gear switches for part of the polution stuff(leans mixture under certain situations), the other is the reverse..I not using any on mine, but it should be easy to see which switch is ON when gearstick in R. IE test light, bulb etc. christover

Well the radiator is mounted. Ended up using the Vitara one, real easy conversion too.
Busy weekend with clients coming in so i didn't get a hole lot done (and i'm waiting on parts).
Also picked up the beadlocks. All i can say is that they look cool but those boggers are going to be a bitch to fit.
Still don't know how to do the pic thing but can email if anyone wants any of the radiator install.

I actuallt had it running Monday night. Have also been tied up the last couple of nights. The list of things to do is now smaller than the list of things that have been done.
Tape up loom and refit dash
Brake lines
driveshafts
tighten body lift blocks
refit front clip
mount seat with bolts as opposed to G clamps
exhaust
shocks
drag link
Drive it then
weld diffs
front bar
lights
UHF
roof
roll cage
think of more stuff

Well i've actually had a chance to get some work done on the car.
The fuel lines are all secured with the little plastic clippy things. I've mounted one of the new tyres on one of the beadlocks, looks cool.
I've noticed that the gearbox to transfer jack shaft runs down hill a little. How far can i lift the transfer without cutting the cross member?
I have a 2" body lift installed if that makes any difference.
BTW the vitara fuel lines (with the tank out of the vit) fit perfectly, only had to make one extra bend.

I've had a little clearance issue with the booster and the steering shaft uni joint. Now sorted just had to extend the spline on the column to make clearance.
The drag link is now also done, i used the steering box end off the sierra and the tie rod end off the MQ. This actually gives better clearance with RUF as it spaces itself forward about 20-25mm meaning the the drag link won't foul on the tie rod.
Looking good for next weekend.
Off to pick up the rest of the tyres now.

will sort out some pics today if someone can do the host link thing.
Also had to move the throttle cable to clear the booster. Slight firewall modification but no great stress.
All of the Swampers are now fitted on the beadlocks and they look fully sik.
looking good for this week.

well all i can say is that work gets in the way of everything. The car has been a little neglected over the past couple of weeks.
My front clip is getting lighter everyday. I've now had to cut half of the inner guards off to clear the long travel ranchos on my agricultural shock hoops.
Also fitted a power steering cooler whilst doing the steer lines.
The stinger bar is also 80% fitted.
I've given up guessing when it will be done, so i don't know when but it won't be too far away.

Well Nuki went on its first trip last night up to Gembrook. All i need to say is that the Vitara kicking the bucket was the best thing that ever happened.
Almost 9 months of work WELL worth it.
Have got pics but don't know how to post them.
