Cal might even be agreeable to just swapping the parts over? - would save you alot of grief or extra expense.
I've done the quick fix before and its got me into trouble, so if i take my time with this one, a good conclusion/result can come of it.
Cal are very good, and at the end of the day I'm very sure we can sort the above issues out if i need an exchange product/item.
I still (in my mind) think i can make the trust washer work for me, its just going to be a matter of getting a day to do it.
Its all going to depend on the thickness of the trust washer. I have not even laid eyes on the cvs, so as of yet, i have no idea if the inner axle has a taper on it, or whatever.. I'll work that out on the night. But i'm still concerned as I was told the std Nissan cv which came out of the car, and the cal are the same length side by side... The spindal hub sits the same distance on both, so I'm going to have to see..
I fly home about midnight on the 8th and we leave on the morning of the 9th. So chances are I'll run the std short side, and take a spare and just take it easy. I've been waiting 6 months to do this trip, and i have a night to pack the car, so pulling the long side down again, ripping the center out and playing with the locker might be asking for trouble, and I'll be so devistated if i cant fix it on the night - thats the reason for my frustration.
I'll post picture of what i do, and if i can get a feasible option that will work for me...
cheers
