That's two 4 cores units, they are not light the cores are 0.5kg each overall around 6kg complete. Not including the water inside them.

Presure tested the 2 four cores this evening  all good and ready for shipping.

The monster 8 core were building is almost there. This will be dual pass the next 8 core will be single pass, It will be interesting to see some numbers from both to see how the compare if the respective owners are able to test them.

This one is all but complete, 8 core dual pass, time for testing.

Now on to Dzltec's 8 core single pass. Awill4x4 is welding it up this weekend

Laminova intercoolers ..appear to be made of unobtainum .. .

You need a perspex version, so you can see the inner bling ...

What ever your requirments I'm sure Awill4x4 can weld it :D We do unobtainum at very reasonable rates. Imposibilium is harder to come by that may take us a week or two and cost just a little more.

Picked up some brass NPT fittings from Pirtek for testing in the water tank and fitted the O rings. So a trip down to see Awill4x4 on Monday to test in the water tank looks on the cards.

This will need some good brackets as the 8 cores alone are 4kg, but that's all heat soak  The final casing will be added by the owner to suit his needs along with the mountings.

The TD42 is coming along well too I'm sure Marin is hanging out for it, I believe he has a new hi flow injector pump on the way. We know the Turbo is good for 17PSI.

On another note we got to do a run with my intercooler with the snorkel on just prior to Vic Winch with Marin's lap top as mine has died, ambient was around 15 degrees, intake temp off boost was around 23 degrees, full boost just reached 26 degrees. An added advantage of the snorkel was cooling down was much quicker after coming of boost. Have a few repairs to make after Vic Winch and then we will test a little more extensively as we did not have time before.

Your intercooler is waiting for your services time for some drilling and tapping. You will need an M5 tap and suitable drill bit :D

Then time for final fabrication and installation.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR Bloody typical.... I fly out to WA for 2 weeks on monday, and only have sunday off to get myself into order (wash clothes, pack, everything else I haven't done for the last 2 weeks) due to working 12 hour days till then...... but I'm back on the 11th Nov, so will come and get that stuff done (I have the taps etc to do it) in my week off....

Plus we will go and find me a radiator, install it, buy me a water pump, install my GU airbox and get andrew to do that 1 weld needed to get the air from my GU airbox to my turbo.

It's a wonder what going to work can do for your financial situation LOL

marin

p.s. Looking good on my cooler..... hmmm I probably reckon I owe you some money now that it is looking this good.... we shall talk soon....
