Nothing ATM - funds have been diverted to a change in career. Hopefully in the new yearthere will be some action. Until then I will be doing a quickie fix ($1500 or so) so I can do a bit of driving.

one question why waste all this money on a kia when you could bye a gq and mod it for 10=12000 grand and then it will shit all over your kia just seems silly to start with somehting like a kia. But if you want bring it over one afternoon and ill drive up your bonnet and use your kia as an articulation ramp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why buy a $15K GQ and put a Chevy V8 + auto + twin Tcases + GU diffs under it?
Why Buy a $3K Sierra and put a Vitara engine + Rockhopper gears + HiLux diffs and ARB lockers in it?
Each to their own.....
The Kia has a body size that I like (bigger than a Vitara LWB but smaller than a GQ, with more interior room than a 4Runner). I decided to take the Kia body/chassis and fit easily sourced parts to it.
Update:
Bought tyres (2nd hand 35/11.5 ET's), front/rear diffs (rear factory locker), sourced a supply of engine/transmissions (VT Commo, for a little closer to the date), about to negotiate a tcase.
Need: Marks Adapter kit + fitting of rear shaft, rims, driveshafts. Hopefully all mechanical major purchases done by mid November. Front locker and 4.6 R&P's can wait.
Booked in for the Cheezy makeover in Feb '06.

Well, I can give you some pics of bits on a concrete floor, but I'm sure you know what 2 GQ diffs, 5 35" ET's , 5 rims, and a Hilux transfer case look like. I am in the "parts accumulation" stage at the moment.
The Job will be done By Cheezy next Feb (booked in already). I will be posting progress pics then...
As for pics now, it looks like any Kia Sportage with a 2" bodylift, 2.5" spring lift, with no outer bumpers, and running 31's...

End of March (delayed due to work commitments during the Commonwealth Games)
Only have the engine to acquire, so if anyone has a VX or VY V6 for a half decent price ..........(need looms, ECU etc, everything to make it run as a "standalone" engine)

I know the owner of the 'bullfrog'. I didn't know it was going yet though. He's a lazy prick.
Last time I saw that thing it was still in pieces and waiting for paint / engine to be finished.
I think he's got an early cruiser kicking around somewhere too
Don't know if he's a member though!

Cheezy reckons about three weeks or so, but in reality I wouldn't expect it back for 4-5 weeks (S**t load of work
