4wd TV don't seem to have listed it as an event on their '09 calendar either..? http://www.4wdtv.com.au/calendar.html

Looks like there's no involvement this year..?

Ladies & Gentlemen,

Here are a few current number crunching figures - currently on the TTC site there is 11,387 total votes, if you divide this number by 15 (points per mag) you get approximately (rounded up) 760 mags at a RRP cost of $9.90 you have a cost of $7,524

Now of those 11,387 votes, i have delivered 3616 thus far, also i have at home filled out forms, totalling another 2945 votes still to be delivered.

So once i deliver to TTC they will then have a grand total of 14,332 votes, divided by 15 you get 955 mags at RRP costs of $9.90 you get a total of $9,455 (rounded up).

However, we must not forget about all those teams still to hand in voting slips & the teams who are stategically hanging onto a large handful of votes to drop off in the last week, so lets assume about another 5,668 votes, divided by 15 you get about 378 mags (rounded up) at RRP of $9.90 you get a total of $3,742.2.

So to round everything evenly up to a grand total of 20,000 votes, (WHICH I'M SURE WE WILL GET VERY CLOSE TO) - divided by 15 you get 1,333.3333 mags at RRP cost of $9.90 you get a total of $13,199.999 spent.

The 3 important facts to gain from all of this is -

1. lots of money being spent on magazines, just to get in the comp.

2. Awesome support from 24 competitor teams & a total of $6,914 raised for charity so far!

3. last but not least & i will leave the final maths to YOU, when all these new votes hit the TTC site - HOW ARE YOU, OR YOUR TEAM, GOING TO BE POSITIONED IN THE FINAL RUNNING ORDER?

Do something about it! & Don't leave it to chance!

Now there is some food for thought!

Regards

Mark, just a quick question, are your doors classified as re-made body panels to pass the 50% side profile rule? (this is a serious question Im not having a go at your rig)

Rhett,

I was asked to provide body panels that comply with the 50% side profile rule, Now Garth has done far more work than what is required in the RULES!

My truck started life off as a tray back, & therefore only ever needed doors to meet the 50% side profile rule!

Now I attended the mandatory pre scrutineering at BBM, & THEY (the officials) PASSED my vechicle with flying colours! -

This is all i really care about!

Ladies & Gentlemen,

I would like to thank all those Teams who have so generously donated money to the Westmead Children's Hospital.

I would also like to note that for you generous donations, i was, & still am happy to match them dollar for dollar with excess votes i have left over from my own purchases for my own scoring.

Kind Regards

i think every one should stop tryin to find something to pick on Marks car or him with.He has and is doing alot for this comp and the sport i dont see many others doing as much as him. The officials pasted the car at scrutineering thats all that matters its not up to any one else to decide. I have seen the car numurous times and looks just like a suzuki. If no one likes it why bother entering then! like it or lump it... just go there drive, have fun and stop all the complaining!!

It has been brought to my attenion by some concerned parties, in relation to the donations for charity, & the ATO's rules in receiving benefits for charity!

In this particular case, the supposed benefits are the higher positions in the running order! - much to my amazement & total disbelief

As mentioned in previous posts, i mearly pass on the charitable donations as a third party to the Westmead Childrens Hospital, and in response to your genorosity, i choose to give some votes from my person.

It is however, recommended that all parties seek their own personal Tax advice as to the deductions & how they they claim them!

However, i will personally call each & every person to discuss the ways to keep it separate.

With an extra $1 they will give to me at the event & in return i will give them a receipt for the $1, this will keep the donation & benefits separate.

You are entitled to you opinion, however i don't agree with you!

Maybe next year if the voting system stays the same, i will buy heaps of mags again & GIVE votes to the teams i like - i suppose it's the same as the public doing it - either way it's still manipulating the running order - isn't it?

Actually, the more i thinks about it, i might drop many thousands of votes in & make every driver equal in points - That would be interesting!

Then what? -

Where is your positive input or solution?

Don't knock it - if you have absolutely no idea's on how to fix it!

Well at least its for a good cause & even without it I doubt it would change the results of who gets in anyway. So really wats the big deal.
Voting sux anyway. I reckon it should be first 3 place getters from previous 2-3 years. 25-30 out of a hat type draw & 5-10 TTC / Sponsors picks.
