I think you should stop thinking and finish YOUR cargreg wrote:I reckon you should throw away the rest of the body and build the toob onto the chassis in the same way as Nam's buggy was built... then just put the bonnet back on (nothing looks better than a beat on bonnet) and add a fire wall and it's all systems go...
i'm thinking that after seeing the breakages at the oz-rock event that hilux diffs aren't going to hold together very well (depending on tyre size of course)... how about thinking ahead some and buying some monster diffs to run under you zook that you could then transfer onto a buggy at a later date?
hmmm i just competed in the last werock round with my zukgreg wrote:I reckon you should throw away the rest of the body and build the toob onto the chassis in the same way as Nam's buggy was built... then just put the bonnet back on (nothing looks better than a beat on bonnet) and add a fire wall and it's all systems go...

either way though - given the damage report from the oz rock event included MQ and GQ cv's - it's got me thinking these are not up to the rigours of hard comp use.
One sure thing is that EVERYTHING will break eventually. Although those CTM U joints on the ABT buggy do look the goods.redzook wrote:yeh gq and mq cv's arnt that stronggreg wrote:driving over other cars' tyres in the car park at we-rock does not count as competing tim.redzook wrote: hmmm i just competed in the last werock round with my zuk
