The bonnet bulge is actually taller than it needs to be, clearance wise.
The extra room is to allow for some movement in case of a pedestrian accident.

The new bonnet is really well made, a lot stiffer and stronger than the old style. Not been brave enough to stand on it yet though to see HOW strong !
The only mod I had to make to fit it was to get a later TD5 style bonnet prop for it.

Finally it arrived in Australia after ???? of waiting it turned up today!
Will start on the coppies as soon as possible.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but is their any progress on the fibreglass copys? or does anyone know how much a brand new one is?

I didnt end up getting any made as quots for the mould (2 piece) were way more than i thought around (2.5K), and coppies would cost me $600 each. other places were not really interested.
So i just chucked the origional on my county.
New it was 1100 from Kar Craft, but it takes a while to get.
