"Ohhh mister Heart, what a mess"...
Mines lucky if it sees much action past 3000.
Not much more power up there any rate apart from smoke out the back
I'm lucky if I get to 2000 before gear changes... around the city that is.
I think the DL motor's redline of 4k should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Remeber you can by the same motor as a stationary engine for gen sets, etc. I.e. it's a pretty agrucultural lump.
I'd suggest if you tend to be a bit of a lead foot, if/when you get it running, wind the maximum rpm screw, for the accelerator arm, on the top of the injector pump down a bit. That might save you from doing it again.
Otherwise if you want to keep reving the c$%p out of it, turf the diesel and chuck a feroza motor in it.
Cheers

It mainly gets revved hard up hills on the highway and offroad, more power will bring the revs down ( as i am looking at putting a supercharger on it that i have laying around).
I think i should put in my alfa gtv motor in it (with 100kw and will sit on 6500 all day doing burnouts.
