The oxy trick sounds good but if you are doing a cams spec cage or a cage that is ment to be strong, you cant heat up the tube as this will anneal (soften) the tube.

NOW ABLE TOO SAY WHAT I WANT WITHOUT FEAR OF LOOSING SALES.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

That's what I was thinking to myself too.
ANTT Get your dies from Queensland Trade Tools. About $80 for a 32NB and I also have a 25NB but forgotten the $$.

well, finally bit the bullet and ordered one of these today
trade tools reckon they don't carry them anymore, so he sent me round the corner to blackwoods (didn't even know it was there till today). ended up being $107.80 and it has to come from melbourne so will take a week to get here
i ordered the one that had 32mm next to it so hopefully its the right size

I had the same problem with the rollers denting the tube.
solved it by buying some 75mm od actetyl rod from plastics supplier and machining new rollers with the correct size depression for the tube being bent. no more dents.
material cost ~$30 for 300mm, enough to do two rollers.
machined them on a wood lathe.
have done quite a few bends and the bender frame base deforms and there is no damage to the rollers, so the acetyl material seems to be a reasonable choice.
I'm using dawn formers in a cheapy bender, both from a mans toyshop in Rockhampton.
Cheers

25NB schedule 160 just haapens to be a perfect fit, which was cool, cause i have heaps of it.![]()
you just need something about 33mm OD, 20mm ID and about 25mm long.
yeah, was looking at that wendle, might have to turn something up on the lathe

buy a stick of the aforementioned tube. you will end up using it for something, it is good for steering links and shit..
well, used this thing on saturday to do my rear bar and it works farking awesome, except for the dents in the pipes, will have to figure out what to do to fix that
we did a bend that was actually passed 90* and it didn't deform at all. like the others have said, these things are the way to go for a cheap bender. best $100 i've spent

If i got 1 of those Super Cheap benders and used this set up will it work?
Live fast, die young and have a bloody good looking corpse.
wendle, we had the rollers as close to the die as they could go without hitting it when it was pumped up, i'll give your idea a try
NAM, we didn't bother with an adaptor for it, once there was a little pressure on it, it worked fine and didn't move
carl coight, yep these things work with the supercheap benders, thats all we used on the weekend
