Just to throw in another ten cents worth.....

If you really want to have a capable off roader then starting with a Sierra
is ( unfortunately ) a much better idea than a roza.

Lots of bits for zooks, whereas EVERYTHING for roza's is custom.

On the other hand, if its a daily driver then the roza's OK, but Vitara's
still have the aftermarket parts edge.

Don't get me wrong - like roza's, but mainly because I like the challenge
and don't mind doing SERIOUS mods.......

Note, this is code for putting suzuki parts in it

Ross, you will have to start a members thread - you will have one of the most thoroughly and carefully modified feroza's around once it is done.

 Respect

Yep - and the cat has learn't a lot of "new words" as well since I started !

Well the rear axle is toyota, the gearbox is Aisin/Warner so really the only
true zook bit is the transfer, ( and the gear set is partly non zook) and that's too !@#$% long......

Oops - missed the driveshats and Suzuki 4WD Club badges.

Using nice language - its turning into a "VIP - Vehicle of Indefinate Parentage".

Well I do believe that almost a year ago at King Hut that we did say the easy option would be to sell it and buy a Suzuki as there are plenty of options available for modifying but some people do love to be a little more individual than others ;) :D

Ah well yes - we all carry our own private obsessions.

But in the end we do it for pleasure ( a real worry ) and logic rarely seems
to be at the forefront of our thoughts.

One could ask if you really need three or four ( lost count ) Vitarra's !
The Sierra "sub culture" probably questions a Vitara build......

Besides its always fun to try and remember what make and model the
part you are trying to replace was originally sourced from. Its real
fun

Q "What make and model ?"
A "Well its sort of a Feroza"
Q "whats a Feroza ? "
A "A Daihatsu"

-"Oh...... Yeh... Um..."

A "but i want a Toyota bit"
Q "but you just said its a Daihatsu !"
A well that's what you just asked"
Q "and you want a Toyota bit ?"
A "yep"

***** LONG SILENCE ******

Q "didn't know Toyota made Daihatsu parts"
A "they don't"
Q " So its a Daihatsu and you want a Toyota bit ?"
A "Yep - its sorta non stock... "
Q "So its for a Toyota ?"
A " No - its for a Daihatsu Feroza"

And so on until the parts guy just orders what you asked for in
the first place - but ten minutes later.
