The shop will remain nameless. This forum has a policy that dictates that "vendor bashing" is not allowed. They quickly degenerate into a flaming session that doesn't get anyone anywhere then they get deleted.

Not saying it is or is not the case in this situation but in general there are always two sides to a story. Both sides believe they are right. The fact of reality is that one is right and the other is not. The ONLY way that disputes get sorted out is in private, when something goes public testosterone, emotion and pride usually get in the way of a resolution.

Yes, legal action can be taken against the site on such matters, this is why "vendor bashing" threads are not allowed.

Alien is doing the right thing, keeping it under wraps, keeping it professional.

Thats understandable if thats Outers rules thats the rules and we should respect that or pay the consequence. My point was that legally you shouldnt get into trouble for "talking" about a bad service you experienced. But "vendor bashing " wouldnt get us anywhere. Just hope Im not the next unsuspecting customer and this gets sorted out soon for Alien.

Ok, so there has been a development in the form of my caliper being returned and the offer of a refund has been presented to me, of which i am awaiting to go through - i will post again to confirm this has all been resolved, and then perhaps a moderator can lock the thread?
