Who Makes Bull Bars???

Grimbo's eureka bar was ok, but their stuff is pretty much cosmetic only (Much like the big 40 series they used to build) Eureka bars are not productionised like ARB so they are all a bit different. The build quality of Gimbo's was pretty much equal to what you could do yourself with some time and a box folder.

Just buy an ARB bar, you won't regret it.

PS just saw your new posts - Warn barwork is agricultural garbage and I struggle to believe that people pay for it, but anyway -

You could get the same look with an ARB bar with the hoops cut off, but if you keep running NT you will hammer the leading edges of your guards without hoops. Maybe run a stock ARB bar and then if you go wider and need the protection of the hoop less then cut the hoops off.

for the Sierra the bar was ok but I certainly wouldn't have used it on a larger heavier car. it did it's job protecting the body work and finally got a large dent in one day when the hi lift jack let go denting the hoop.

You have raised a point i didn't even think of!

Being so narrow my front corners would cop a beating! Just had a look at the hoops on mine and there are scratches and goudges there!

So thanks heaps now i might just get an arb bar and see how it holds up!
But will not be for a while as the tyres and gears are coming very soon!

It will hold up fine. We have two in the club that came to us secondhand that have been in heavy rollovers (i.e endo's.... one on the road ) and they are still fine, although the one on my car is a little twisted. the will hold up far better then the rest of the car to abuse.

I still smack my panels just after the corner, but at least i'm not hitting the very corner of the car on stuff.

ditto on the ARB bar, best functional bar i have seen and strong too.

I do a lot of bush tracks, some v/narrow and have taken out a roo on the bar also doing about 60km/h that decided to jump out. no damage cept for scratches and gouges.

I made mine as my arb bar stuck out too far and the tyres used to grab it. It was also too bent and twisted. SO I copied the jeep bars from the states caus I likes the yank look. made it heeps stronger than a arb one too. but mine didn't have to be legal.

What do you want the bar for? is it for looks, for frontal protection, or somewhere to mount your winch.

I found that when i had the bullbar on mine i was always hitting stuff because it effected front aproach. i pulled it off and made up a alloy pannel with an alloy nudge bar and it improved front clearance and reduced the overall weight of the front of the car.
