u will have a crawl ratio of 100.247 with 33's
so at 1 mph u will be doin 1,021 RPM wich is low

overkils buggy has a crawl of 114.059 with 37's
at 1 mph its doin 1,036

so bascially stuff all difference an if you have seen overkill's buggy crawl u will know it is LOW :D

Sorry - now i am up to date... yeah i was just going to say that if you were putting it into something with a lwb you could run twin transfers with the second one backwards (i.e. Fat City Bronco from Top Truck last year) and then you can increase your onroad gearing, and decrease your offroad gearing still... pretty groovy stuff  I'm sure it would take some work though.

You're not even trying are you?

Lucky grimbo doesn't increase his Pirate 4x4 Search Nazi role to cracking down on people who can't calculate gear ratios :D

1st x X-fer x Diffs

3.652 x 6.1 x 4.1 = 91.33 Crawl Ratio

Dunno what engine revs will be like at 100kms though.

cheers

A little gear calculator chimpboy whipped up and I did a few things with.

Any tyres, any diff ratios, dual transfer cases or single - key em in and see what you get.

Send me a pm and i can send it to you at your proper email address - can't post xls files here. if someone tells me it's ok I can rename it jpg or something and post it in this thread but I'll take no responsiblity for what happens after that.

It's currently set up for 1kph per 1000rpm in top - Vitara/Sierra Dual transfer, on Calmini R&P's, with Vit 4:1 rockhopper and Sierra 8:1 rockhopper (dunno the exact figures on the 8:1 rockhopper so I sorta fudged them when i was bored at work).

Enjoy...

Don't forget to say thankyou to the Chimp.....

If people wanna send me in their gearbox/diff data we can always add more of them in.
