Whats the Go with the 4wd Monthly advertising the Willowglen challenge in Victoria this year?
Anybody got any ideas.
Will check there www and see but it says it is being run by the TLCC Vic branch. Willowglen is the name of the property outside Tarago, not the new venue??? Is it a case of the TLCC Vic trying to grab some of the pre-built enthusiasm about the Willowglen challenge for a new competition?

Hey everybody:
Great news, I hear that Greg Page. (former GRP and Rockhopper front man) leads a constituent including two others (all suzuki club members, but independent of suzuki club) who are in the final stages of securing
Tuff Truck Events and promotions!! The company that runs Tuff Truck.
Allegedly, unless the event is run in 2004, the company will lose their very expensive insurance policy. the proposed date is Sept 2004 rain hail or shine, due to the insurance deadlines put upon the new owners. So that is certainly some good news. I hope it goes ahead!
I am not sure how the competitors are supposed to enter but I imagine if they want a similar voting system to last time then they would sure want to get onto it in 4WD Monthly (unless they already have) But I have read or seen nothing in the mag, which leads me to believe the magazine people have not been contacted, or perhaps it is coming in a future edition. I understand the lead times for the magazine are a few months and this information is FRESH (like what you smoke) so perhaps it is a month or two from the mag.
So yeah, hopefully it goes ahead!

I'd guess they are probably waiting until everything is finalised before making any official statements about the event. Last thing we need is half truths coming out about its staus although I think we should probably just make some up.
Like I heard that only Tritons and Sportages are allowed to compete and you have to drive the courses backwards. This is insurance based as they feel that the front ends are prone to dents.
Also that all co drivers must have a written letter from their Mums stating they can go swimming straight after dinner in the mud hole and not the obligatory 1 hour. This should cause a few problems as I know quite a few co drivers will have problems getting their mums to approve that
Stay tuned for more up to the minute news
