I´ve never used castor plates, buth have read only negative comments.
I made my drop boxes here in Panama. I am really convinced that, apart from the costly aftermarket control arms, they are the way to go. Work perfectly both on and off road, so far :roll:

Boxes > Plates

You loose a little bit of clearance but this will only ever occasionally manifest itself in a few scrapes and bumps, I've yet to see someone get hung up on them.

You basically return the arms to factor position while restoring castor rather than worsening their position and restoring castor.

most time you will only get caught on them in reverse, going forward the boxes will normally just drag along what ever. Depends what your driving in too, they can be a pain in rocks
