Legend. I'll give you a call soon to come around and borrow a C4 - I have a GQ transfer.

Be good if they did but there's none in their catalogue.
That would be a bugger. Might have to go with the patrol auto.

thats rights! we all know nissan stuff is the best! why would you ever change it??

as stated i did ask if you were serious about it? obviously not! i thought you of all people would be after any small competitive advantage, that is why i showed the ford to T700r4 and to a gq tcase. Enjoy driving fast in low range with no overdrive, or having to waste time going to high then switching back.

C4's are a piece of cake to make handle 400hp, just about any idiot can do it, why spend $$$$$$$$?? but there is no advantage to using one unless you are chasing the shortest/strong 3spd you can??

I understand what you are saying but it all comes down to dollars. I would have to buy two adapters to go the Ford to t700r4 then GQ transfere. As for the front digs there is no time to waist in xwc and you dont get penalised for reversing and so on.

I am still running 3.9 ratio's so the c4 couldnt be that bad. I dont think I have ever hit 4th gear in low range but I understand that Outback is a different story. Dont know if I will ever make it to the Outback challenge but maybe cliffhanger next year depending on funds. Keep it coming.

you could allways do an adapter yourself chris for the ford Windser block to a t700? Dont know what would be involved but i am shore patience and a piece of 20 mm alloy sheet would the start. Then have a custom converter done up. But if you bought an off the shelf adapter then made one to the GQ case yourself then you are only up for the cost of 1 adapter? But getting a t700 to handle the torque you windser is putting out i am unshore off. At most i would think it would need a rebuild to beef it up. Others may know more on these autos

Cloughy Yeah i will have to get off my ass and get a bloody courier organized to sort it as i just keep forgetting.

Oh and greg no need for sarcasm (spell) Not everyone knows everything.

another option if you are trying to save money and effort is to keep the windsor - c4 - and get an adapter to run a 75series tcase, as they have similar strength and gearing options to the nissan. cheap and all off the shelf bits. (ok so its not a nissan, but it'll work just as good. and then it can be easily twin sticked to give 2wd low).

you dont' need to twin stick it. you can still get 2wd low with the shift gate removed.... cost = 0 dollars
