You won't find many who've had a landy that will bag them.
You won't find many who haven't that don't.

Didn't think of the defender. Yeah i'd probably go with that choice if you needed the dual cab. Will suit your needs for shooting and touring and then when you get more serious about wheelin you can chuck some decent axles and turbo on it. Stock they've got a shocking turbo lag and axles break like twigs.

pffffftttt x 2
Yes, maxi axles are a godsend, but the stock axles are as good or better than anything you'll get on the other bus's in the running ;)

well its time to get serious! I have my Aristo SOLD! Should have money ready to spend by early next week....

I have narrowed it down to a 2.8 Diesel Hilux. My main reason is there are many more around so spare parts will be simple, Yes - Everyone has them - which also makes them easy to sell if i find i dont enjoy owning a 4x4 as much as i presume i will, and thirdly - i really like the look of them!!

Now i just have to choose spend ALL my money and go for a 2.8 Turbo Diesel straight up, or hold back and just get a N/A 2.8 diesel, THEN in a year or so if im still a keen 4X4 owner, sell up and go for a well set up turbo diesel ands get serious about it! I have a habit of selling cars rather quickly if i get bored with them!

I do like the land rover defender, but i think that would be something i'd be more likely to buy if i get real serious on 4x4'ing.
