SIT ON THIS NEGATIVE CRAP. Cliffhanger and the Nav runs that Rudi and Hobsee give us are what we crave.
We don`t care about prize money, we care that someone will give us the challenge and opportunity.
We too will be back regardless, in 2008.

I have competed in many events accross australia including MMM events, many OBC,s Alpine challenge, atecos aswell as 3 NZ winch challenges and the Malaysian rainforest challenge.
The stages we done at cliffhanger 2006 were up there with the best of them, the overseas events have there own adventure and cant compare, but the cliffhanger definatly compares to any Australian event i have competed in. It is up there with the best of them and i would, and have recomended them to everyone.

I will compete again next year , it is hard to juggle all the events but this one is high on my list of must do's

Rudes will there be a GQ class??

Been a Victorian born and bred and coming to live in NSW it is great to see some of your mind bending comps getting support up here. With you all the way Rudes and Hobsy. Need more navruns in NSW. If funds and the cook permits I would love to be there (Cliffhanger 08).

If you need a navi mate - I'm there.

Be bad luck for the cook I reckon.

Rudi, when do you reckon you can find out all the information in regards to filling up with LPG, as this is the main factor in my entry.

thanks

Hey Rudes and Hobzee,

I think you will need to make more spots than 30 because words getting out that it's an awesome event and it's filling quick. I will definitely need 2 of those 150l fuel lots for the week though cause the V8's going to be roaring again.

Krimnl,

Can't wait to race you again in 08 for 1st place, it's going to be a hard spot to get next year with all the competition that's coming out, "Young bull" is still powering on. (Still bloody breaking stuff though). :silly:

Having participated in the last three Cliffhangers, done a half OBC this year and completed in many events in South Australia I would like to support Rudi and Hobbsy in their efforts to provide us with the opportunity of another great event. As a competitor I am pleased that event organisers put so much effort in providing us the opportunity to compete in the sport that brings so much fun and enjoyment. I will be competing again in the OBC and will bend over backwards to have my rig ready for my fourth Cliffhanger. Yes I know there is only six weeks in between but it is worth it. Yes I have been self employed but it is still worth. Yes I know the handbrake gets upset but it still worth it. So with all the noise you guys make on this forum put your entry form into the Cliffhanger and show us what you are made of. The South Australians are bringing five rigs next year and we intend to take out the event. And yes my entry form and DEPOSIT is already paid. Gary

Come along and do it. Bring the family, bring some spares, bring a sense of humour just in case you don't bring the right sort of spares.
Every night is same base camp. You don't need to cater so self reliance so bring ya camper trailer or what ever you've got. Bring a fridge and some snacks. That's all there is to it really.
Cheers Dan

340 sleeps to go ...

And we have 10 teams with entry forms in already. A sensational start to '08 - thanks everyone!

15 rigs needs 1 group of marshals so 30 rigs means capacity with a 2nd team of marshals that we have. Word is that a 3rd team of marshals is coming out of Broken Hill and that would mean we can increase numbers to 45 if we need to.

I need to come up with a way of cycling the teams through the stages with spectators in mind and then a re grouping of teams so the red hot ones are together, etc.

I was there a week early this year and had a wonderful time setting up. We pre-drove / winched basically everything - and the guys will testify that even included the mud. In '08 I will go even earlier. Johnno from Silver City 4WD is coming out in the hills with me to set up a day of hard winch stages as well as a 100 way point SS and we are just camping out there until it is set up. Already looking forward to it.

your just a friggin sadist hobbsee,,cant wait to play..
any chance of posting a list of competitors entered??
& just a thaught, with so many states now competing
could be interesting to pick an equal n.o teams from each
state,to give you an additional popetual state tophie..
basicly by picking 3-4 teams from each state at random
to represent there state,to give you an average for each state
or somthing like that

Yeah can you get a competitor list up for us so we can see who's coming out in '08. It will also help us so we can organise ourselves for transport etc.

Anyone know of any trucking companies that run from Sydney through Broken Hill? Thinking of getting the car sent over by road freight and flying there.

I dont know about the CELEBRITY status for Todd and Ivan, that makes me feel special then as I transported his car to Rocky last year for the extreme winch challenge. Geez I knew I should have got his autograph before he became famous. Now I will have to pay him to transport his race truck.
