I like the therory on air in the line etc but the fuel filter was always only 2/3 full of fuel . I can't say the problem was fixed with a second hand carb but never had it again . I also never drove it on the road again just before the carb was fitted , lives on a trailer now .
The carbs get a bad rap , when in good working order they are good but like any vehicle they go bad and also probably get a lot of crap thrown at them most carbs do not .

OK..
Got Dad to have a look.
He adjusted the timing, and he says it now runs smoothly.
I'm taking it for a drive this arvo. Hoepfully taking it home.
You'll hear about it if I break down.. lol
Next: Install Crawler gears and 3" body lift.

Any particular reason for 3" ?? Is it just to fit in in NSW with all the SPOA cars? or do you have a roll cage to try out?MissForby wrote:.......3" body lift.
Assuming you have slightly lifted springs why not look at a 2" with a little trimming of the guards? heaps easier to do (and un do if you need to)
Well I'm guessing that they didn't think everyone would carry on like a big bunch of sooky girls over it like they have........
I second that. NT suzukis with 3" body lifts are scary. 2" is plenty and if the tyres you want to run still rub, just play with guard trimming and bumpstop spacing to suit.

I've only got 2" susp lift, and it's still SPUA.
Susp lift is barely noticeable in fact, the thing looks just about stock.
Not keen on chopping the guards just yet. Everyone I have spoken to, who has seen the car, all say 3" body should be fine. If I start going SPOA. it'd be time to re-think things.
Once the crawlers gears and the body lift go in, it's staying as is. Buying a house and getting outta the in laws place is top priority atm.

i wouldnt go 3"
i got 2" in mine and i still havnt decided if im going to stick it in my other one when i transfer the parts over. i drove up on the GU and it nearly fell over

keep it low as possible and trim the guards to suit larger tyres.
