Correct - Jimny's have a separate coil and shock in the front end.

Coil sierras have a coilover strut in the front end.

OME do not make front coilover struts for coil sierras, but they do make suspension for the jimny.

Correct - poly bushes are too stiff for use in a coil sierra and I have seen them contribute to bracket failure when used in cars that go offroad.

i have super pro poly bushes in mine it made it way better on the road and did not effect suspention travel

and they are really durable i reused them when i made new control arms no probs at all


but i have beefed up my brackets and i think the bushes might be causing my clicking noises offroad hmmmmmm maybe maybe maybe the bushes are my problem

Well i dont know how there gonna lift the front then...hope they can without breaking anything.

Suzisport sell a complete kit. 2" lift front struts included for about a grand. I had it in my coilly. Was great, made a huge difference. Look at removing your front swaybar also for more flex at the compromise of onroad handling of course. Coilly models handle far better than any leaf spring I have ever been in. Unless you are biased or just used to pissing blood! If a grand is too steep then maybe you should just perservere with it as that is a good price. Poly bushes are great and believe far better both on and offroad than the rubber ones. My opinion is all.

Suzisport and Snake Racing seem to have the greatest range for the SJ80.

You just have a look around and call around and see what kind of deals you can get. If you shop around long enough then something good will come up.

Thx for imput. I went to suzui sport and they said that all of their springs have been recalled due to the fact that something at the front (dont know sorry) kept snapping on all the coilies. The only thing they could do they said is to install a 30mm lift....

actually my clicking was a stuffed wheelbearing and a loose control arm bolt

if you put tougher control arms in make sure you get your diff bracketry braced up and you will not have a problem. I nearly ripped mine off

Ahh, looks like the all those coilys out there are finally coming out of the wood work! Might see a growing trend for (more) aftermarket parts...yay!

There is much talk of poly bushes being rubbish, and as my originals are farked, a new set is in order. So, with all these opinions that poly is pox, rubber ones seem like the answer. Except that you cant buy them!!! Suzuki (eastland) report that they dont sell the bushes, just a complete arm...and at $400 odd a go, stuff that! Has anyone got some useful info on getting new bushes for a limpy coily?

super pro bushes have been good to me mate, it is th red ones that are crap , my purple ones have been great.

spamwell, no offence, but your avatar pic indicated a car that's not flexing it's front end too great- certainly no better than a stock rubber bushed car.

I don't have the answer NiXoN, but I am yet to see a urethane bush with durometer anywhere near rubber. The bushing stiffness (and design) of the front end really kills the balance of a coiler.

You could try drilling urethane ones to make them flex like rubber, but other than that, I don't have any ideas other than try to make a mini X link (which might be cool)

all i know is they made the car feel better at the time and they did not break apart like other poly bushes i have seen. Although i have not actually had rubber bushes in the front of my car since i changed the control arms over and removed the struts so i have not had a comparison in regaurds to suspention travel. I just know they are not that bad if nothing else is available.

my car travels alot better than standard so i have never thought about it.

i have often thought about getting ball joints much like what the guys in japan use but maybe some good rubber bushes is what i am after.

do you know of anyone who stocks rare bushes like this?
