Maxxis Trepadors are another good choice. I swear by them.

Well just got home with 4 bf krawlers. Ended up buying em localy of a guy who used em once on a buggy then bought 39stickys.
So they are almost new.
Rims coming up early next week from Chris Hummer.
Will wait till next weekend to start chopping up the guards.
Next on the list will be some stronger cvs and transfer gears.

& Dick Ceepeck (basicly the carcases are out of the same stateside
factory) so as far as side wall protection they were much simular
but now Micky/T has gone to the next level of protection for sidewalls
by adding its new power cross ply configuration, the new angled plys add
extra protection from puntures that go between the vertical plys & thus
limits slicing or tearing damage
just wondering if you would know how they (M/T)compare puncture resistance wise to the krawler. Also is the 37x13.5x15 claw a true ''37''

cheers

37" Bias claws on a 10" rim @ 35psi measure just over 36.5" in my experience. I believe the bias claws in a 37 are no longer available, however.

No idea - I've only ever run bias and my car is far from winch challenge material! The bias would certainly be alot better in mud than the radials - most of the traction seems to come from the sidewall tread only found on the bias - that's all i can really offer!

ZAK-ZAK Ive winchcomped on both bias & radial claws,& yes bias have
deeper tread &side bites,(but OH SIGH) I to belive they have stoped
making 37 bias, but the side bites on 37 radial clawsare twice as deep as
35 rad claws..& the 37" radial side bites are deeper than procomp & BFG
crawler, roughly about the same depth as maxis.AS FOR COMPIN I have
found radials better than bias in some aspects.BUT ASFOR PUNCHERS
the sticks at the O-B-C didnt care what they put holes in,,,& I dont know
if it was just good luck but I saw a rig with maxis come out of a padock
intact where a lot of others didnt,
.....so in a way you could toss a coin.....
