Yes, I believe the 1.0 shift light and 1.3 case is the same.
i know the early 1ltr is far smaller am i correct or not
Yep, it's smaller in the splines and the case is very different.
if i go to a 1.3 ltr transfer over my ltr then i loose my hand brake etc but gain bigger flange for hilux shafts any suggestions here,
Um, sort of. If you go with a 1.3 NT case you won't loose your handbrake but the flange is still too small for hilux. Only the 1.3 WT case has no handbrake and the hilux size shafts.
to help fit all together with crawler gears being a major concern i dont think i want to go as low as 6-1 i think > 4-1 - >5-1 max which is way a roblobster is so apealing as i hit most things faily hard any way but which tranfer to start with i have all three earely 1tr, late 1ltr, 1.3ltr
Everyone who has run 4:1 gears I know of has either gone to 6:1 gears or wishes they could. IMHO a rock lobster isn't appealing at all. Mixing and matching a whole lot of old junk and welding gears? No thanks.

Why hit stuff hard? It just makes it look hard. (Just my 2c) IMHO swap the late 1.0 handbrake onto the back of your 1.3 WT case and put 4.9 gears in it.

$1000 difference is appealing though and i have the parts to do it.

Steve.
when i say i hit things hard i dont mean i just ram into things i just i dont pussy foot around.
As for putting 1.3 ltr transfer in place of my 1ltr tranfer i would have to swap input flange as well as hand brake an wouldn't that keep the 1ltr flange on the hand brake defeating the purpose i may as well, which i plan to just put the 1.3ltr flanges on the 1ltr transfer that go to drive shafts.

Nothing personal Rama, but why does everyone have the idea that a gearset will cost $1000+.
I got mine for US$475 plus a bearing kit US$92 plus freight US$110 = US$667 + Paypal 4% = total of US$704.08. = AUS$812
At todays exchange rate it is even cheaper...... only AUS$788.
Theres a lot of change from a $1000 :D

because most people are to scared to give there money to someone over seas, fear of the unknown, the process, theives etc...

and i agree, your right its much cheaper over seas.

but as i am on a disabilty pension after braking my neck, i can only work with minomal resurces and my sierra is so close to wheeling again, I am getting anxious, i dont have $788 but i do have the parts to do lobster. but i want to do it once and do it right with strengthing ring etc...
so if that means waiting i may have to wait, but if a low range of 4.1 is fine for my set up, then whats wrong with the lobster, I have never heard a bad thing about doing this exept some wish they had gone lower, are those poeple running a carby 1.3ltr that needs to be ringed to create power or are they running some thing that has plenty of torque, and dosen't need to be valve bouncing to make car go a resonable pace, these are the questions that need to be answerd.

i payed %15 on the total , but the other thing is it will take around one and ahalf weeks longer to get to you , cause if under 1000 aus straight to you , if over it gets held at customs , they send you a letter you fill it out fax it back to them they take around 4 days to look at it and charge you i think $50 to hit a button than they take around another 4 days to work out how much you need to pay than they fax you a price tahn you pay via credit card or some other means than you allow another 3 days for them to recieve payment than they send you your long overdue parts :x

my other parts i got under 1000 aus got sent direct to me BUT good old aussie post decided they couldn't be bothered sending it to the address (my work address so someone is there to sign for it ) so after 2and a bit weeks i contacted sean un the us he said it was sent just over three weeks ago , i rang express post with con not numbers they said yes there at such and such post office they were recieved 2 weeks ago :x i go to said post office , question whats going on , he said they would have left a card at the address and it will be written on the box , as he looked on the box he was surprised to find nothing on it stating a card was left , backing up my complaint that no one at work had seen someone trying to deliver said parcel , sorry just needed to vent

cheers Jai
