I was the one in the white hilux with the yellow tray. You would have seen my team cheering each other on and going crazy more than our rigs :)

i had a good /great saturday but fell asleep on sunday.

carnage canyon 63
up the creek 94
waterfall 100
devils decent 83
wombat holes 73 sat total 340
mud ? maybe 20
gullied out 82
all shook up 26
i had my navvie out on 6 events.
last year i only got a 100 odd on day 1 so did heaps better this year.
it helped with rule changes as im just over 2200 wide and it was tough
to get that pefect line to get between the posts.

im surprissed that some 4x4s rolled /went over as the biggest angle i
had was trying to get to the start line on gullied out on day 2.

That red zook that rolled just loves lying down and the white GQ had an issuse with the auto locker not disengaging on the first right hand turn of up the creek.
He then got a real bad line trying to go up the hill but drove it anyway.

Had a great weekend, anyone got ay vids.

i think we needed atleast 20 points to get to the start line in gullied out, i got a big 0 on that course :bad-words: really dissapointed about that. started my run and just slid sideways into the stake holding the bunting. nothing i could do to stop it. but alot of cars got through so i suppose i just screwed up. still cant work out how i could have done anything different to get through there, there was only one line as it was so narrow through there, i was one of the last to run so the track was pretty chewed up with some mud in there. but all up, a bloody great weekend and ill definitly be there next year

Willowglen Challenge

Post by MD4x4 »

As everyone seems to be posting totals I thought I would do the same.

Carnage Canyon 56
Up the Creek 80
Waterfall 65
Devils decent 98

Sat total 299

Wombat Holes 100
Gullied Out 98
All Shook Up 76
Mudrun 85

Sun Total 359

Overall Total 658

It was our first time at Willowglen and I was very happy with the weekend.

Can't wait for next year.

i rolled on devils decent (red zook with black exo cage ) just couldn't make the turn welded diffs and vit power steer wont get full lock with the lux diffs so i thought id check the tople angle , but that will change before nissan trials , but we than went on to get 100 on the water fall and 85-20 (2reverses on carnage canyon ) and 100 on up the creek
but the wombat holes THUNDER you sux :finger: i was thinking id get 100 for sure but no you had to go 2 cars before me and pull up a big a$$ rock and leave it sticking up in the centre of the course , and the old smoky patrol didnt get that far to knock it down so i was next and well that was as far as i could go , but i did knock it down making the track easier for everyone else :D

all in all it was a good week end and once i get my steering sorted the tighter courses will be more fun as well

cheers Jai
if its worth doing do it intensly , better still do it with MADPASSION

i did get 98 on up the creek (which im quite stoked with :P ) my rear wheel arch just rubbed the tree up top of the hill which cost me 2 points  i ended up on 411 which i think is great cosidering i've never even spectated at a 4wd comp :P so i went in pretty much blind on this event. next year i will be better prepared.
