mate , lock up the clutch fan and take it for a drive..

put a bit of flat ratchet strap material behind the hub around the fan blade snd bac kand tighten the 4 10mm bolts up on the fan hub to hold the straps between the two bits of metal.. this way your fan is locked up 100% of the time, id put money on that being the issue. as my bundy 2.4 TD got hot on the freeway but not idling or offorad unless it was a hot day, locked the fan up and all good. (after water pump thermostat, radiator etc. etc and still having issues.)

Yea mate that would be the go there good to have when towing a trailer or just every day driving with a truck thats been tuned just so u no wat sort of heat the turbo is producing i bought my pyro threw Chapmans at cooroy it cost around the $300 mark

yeah im gunna buy a pyro but i will try locking up the clutch fan first.
