Can you take a pic of where you put the cage through the dash?

I want to put a cage in mine but need ideas of where to run it, did you build it yourself?

Is the dash pod home made as well?

What is that above the cb?

The roll bar goes through the air vent holes. I made the roll bar and the dash pod. The thing above the cb is the CD player. No room in the normal spot when the roll bar went in.
Finally got the wheels back from powder coating. They look great.

Had To replace the heads this week. They blew the gasket between no 2 and no 4. Gas has been to lean. Took the gas off. I needed to spend about 1000 bucks on it to bring it up to scratch. Do not drive it every day now. Had a go at match porting the heads and manifold, see if it has made any noticable differance when its going.

Hi mate. Already got some scratches on it on the weekend. Hanging to get out and use it properly. Spent so much time working on it. It's about time to use it.

really like that rear bar mate...feel like making another? I currently have the arb bar on the back with a spare wheel carrier and it is huge compared to yours.

That colour changes so much in the light braddy, when you dropped past work the other week it looked more red than anything, in those photos it actually looks like the orange its supposed to for once!

Sounds familiar...I have two little kids which are hardly get to see...which doesn't leave much time to play on my truck so I know how you feel. I'll let you know if I can't find time to make one myself.

Once quick question. Did you use a trailer stub axle for the swing arm? How did you ensure there was enough strength welding the stub axle to the rhs?

On mine it has a socket in the bar(Round tube with a flange at the top) the swing away part has a shaft that fits inside the socket. On my brother in laws i used a trailer hab assembly. Sat the stub axle part in the join (corner) of the rhs and welded a bead down each side. Then cut another peice of rhs on 45's and butted it up to the stub axle and rhs. So made a triangle out of rhs with the stub axle in the middle. Also has two braces on the wheel side to the chassis and one on the Lhs. If you use a trailer hub you need to put lights on the bar. Here is a pic of the last one i made.

Great build up, very nice indeed. Most people just slap something together, but its good to see this is a clean and professional job.

I do have one query tho... did you make up your own body lift spacers too? That pic showig the underside of the rear bar and carrier shows a square block.

Yes the body blocks where made by me. The square ones are steel on the blue car and mine are made from 70 mil round alloy.

They are LRA ones. I used 25x25 square rubber to space them out. just used a longer screw through the normal flare hole.
