yeah it hurts, i import a bit of gear for work and learnt a few things the hard way. duty, gst, agents fees, some other fees, a few more fees, none more than say $40 bucks but they find about 10 lots of fees to charge you.

you can always call customs prior to buying anything and they can tell you if your up for and duty etc and wether or not you will need to use an agent of if you can clear it your self.

i found that when i tried to get my shock towers out here from the USA.

see if they will send it regular post/by boat. instead of air freight.
