Honestly, you'd be insane to go for that surf.
Why, it's a pretty clean looking unit?

Will the fronty have better rear articulation, I doubt it, will the fronty necessarily have better IFS articulation, I don't know.

The Surf has one major advantage, it's mid wheel base Vs the Frontys short wheel base, plenty more room inside.

Cheers
Comparing something that is mint to something that is 370,000km old is a key indicator. Thats a lot of distance on the running gear, the body fatigue and the condition of every other part in it.

yeah cheers guys. thanks for the comments. i have decided to keep the frontera. 370,000km's is a hell of a lot and 80,000 is fuck all..i'll keep the 80. cheers

Fair enough, my bent is towards difficult tracks so that's why my vote lay with the Surf.

put some jackaroo coils & shocks in the rear (free mod) and it will gain 5" of flex
the IFS is bloody good, and once again, replace the upper control arms with jackaroo's and you get a 6" lift for a very cheap price (flex increased by 2") flip the balljoints to get another 2" downtravel

Nice. Still flex's like an IFS but I like it.

Doing that to the V6 Frontera will be a little hard as it'll also need the fuel tank modified or moved as on of the lower links will make contact.

How about you stop parking down the end of my sister's street you looney?

Oh, BTW, leave her the fuck alone. Move on. Next time I rock up and see your car in the driveway I will drag it off the property.

Savvy?

maybe the surf being more massculin n manely n bufflike will make it harder to be dragged off said property..or ppl will fear the obviously huge driver....

lol closing threads is no fun :P
round 2
DING DING DING

on the topic of IFS vs Solid

which do you consider better-

A) a wheel flying high, with a locker

or

B) a wheel in a hole 500mm's deep, bending the axle as it tries to pull itself out

i'd go the IFS anyday, gets better clearance in stock form (Diff sits higher because of the CV angle)
i'm always dragging my rear pumpkin, never touching the front one
-rear is the ISUZU equivalent size of a Dana 44 if that means anything to you

Ithought the rear of my Frontera was a Dana 44. So whats that??? About the same as a Hilux?
