Sorry boys, already got a set of IFS hubs on the front :( and its a daily driver atleast till uni holidays, so will have little or no work done till then.
Oh yer.. no money either

i was refering to the rear end, wish i had the cash atm to do the front ifs hubs at the same time

To do the front you need the IFS hubs and the widening kit.
To do the rear you need to buy a complete IFS rear diff out of a hilux. These diff's are the same as you have now expect 1.5" wider each side, for a total of 3" wider. I think from memory you also need the ubolts and plates from the IFS diff.

To do that on the front of a 60, you bolt up a 80 series rear on the back, that will give you 4" of width, so you are a little wider back there than the front, clear the tray etc....
Ill sell you my FZJ80 rear diff if you like.

So for an 80 series you only supply a front widekit ?

you need 100S axles, or wheels or spacers.
the hubs on an 80 are essentially a similar design to the IFS hubs, so the hub wouldnt give you any width

i will have to check again but i had 2 sitting side by side at work the other day and thought to myself mmmmmmmmmmmmmm that would widen the rear. It is the HZJ that has the discs not the HJ

Wheel spacers are illegal, the IFS hub conversion is legal.
I believe the conversion may be legal ONLY if you use the IFS wheels. These IFS wheels have a different off set to the solid axle wheel rims. (Rear axle included.)
So every one should be now asking is it legal to run a wider offset rim, I would say a definite no to that last question.
This may mean that if you dont change your rims the net result of the conversion is that it is illegal.
Does the conversion come with an engineers report certifying they are legal?

I dont want to get into another "can this be engineered" debate.
IFS Hub Kits have been fitted to vehicles that have then been engineer approved.

I'll probably eat my hat over this but, the thought I have is, are offset rims illegal or not engineerable??? if they are legal why go to the expense of ifs front hubs and rear axle??? not money that can be retrieved at re-sale(generally) but offset rims can be removed and re-used.
I understand that some competition rigs are looking to go as wide as possible and that 3" will come in handy, but for others who dont want wheels hanging six inches out of the gaurds it would draw a little much attention on the way to work for me?

The use of an IFS hub swap was originally thought up for people like me that are doing a solid front axle swap to an IFS lux.
You allready have the wider rear diff and need the wider front to match.

My apoligize, thought about it and just wanted to know the overall benifits, an if it was worth me going this way. If offsets are legal there is no reason me purchasing this product, if I can't ask the advice in THE THREAD containing the product there is no point buying it then is there

Some, like me, have offset rims, and want more width hence going for widetrack kit.
