As for the rest of the car it is stock, but not for long, i am looking at getting lockers front and rear. With the 33s, id be running them on the weekends and keep my 30s for daily driving, so i think i might be able to get away with not having to do too much extra work since they will only be on for weekends, but tell me if im wrong.
33's will be just to much. I run 32's on my coily (on it when i got it) which has a 3" body lift and i still manage to get them to jam up inside the guard on full travel whilst turning. I don't mean scrub either, i literally mean jam, the side lugs bite in and lock the wheel up so that it can't turn. Cutting the flares won't achieve much, you will have to cut the guards completely apart and make them bigger by quite a bit.
The other alternative is to move the axle forward, without going about it the long way, to do that you may as well do the rest and completely rip the front suspension and axle out and swap it all to something else. As any mods are a waste of time to the front end. There are just to many parts which are it's downfall that you either accept it the way it is or go all out. Anything in between is basically a waste of time and effort and won't improve anything by to much. Throw in a 30-40mm lift and throw the sway bar away if you have it and leave it at that. Making stronger front arms and increasing the strength of the mounts are about the only other worthwhile things, because if you're going to use it, they are one thing you're guaranteed to bend or break. I broke a front arm the very first time i took mine off road for a "5 minute" test run up the road
You can't get a locker for the front of a coily either. You can have a Jimny one modified to fit, but i can't imagine it to be that cost effective.
Basically, your options are.
Accept you don't have the options with modifications the leaf sprung models have and modify it within it's limits and still have a reasonably capable vehicle.
Sell it and buy a widetrack leaf model and then you can modify to any level you choose.
Go wild where it only matters that you have a body and a chassis so that it doesn't matter what model sierra you start off with.

Thats exactly what i had in mind, i will post some pics when ive done the chop, i will be able to get an extra 2-3" clearance. Ill settle for the 31s and body lift for now,
I am not keen to sell it since iv just rebuilt it and have just done 10000k on the new motor (yesterday). I would love to swap the axels one day and run the bigger tiers, but will have to wait on that.... looks like my zook will be a bit of a longer build up then i thought.
anyway thanks for the advice guys much appreciated

Mate this is a coily on 33's. He had to change alot of things to run this, like diffs etc. Anyway this is an example of what you should be able to get out of the guards. If you can weld, expect to get a fair amount of clearance.
