yeah if i had the room for a spare rangie i would but with a dead disco in my garage and bikes im struggling for room to work on my own car but its a very good point plus i dont have access to a welder at home so the brackets arent that easily made unless someone wants to do this conversion for me?

i will do depending how much you want to do it i think ill struggle to find someone to do it for free other than myself

no problem cheers ill see what motor i end up with and let you no, and are you an auto elec too or you know someone who is? the rangie under the bonnet and dash looks like a birds nest and could do with a neaten up if your interested, pm me and ill let you know what it has to rewire

Nah, not an auto elec, just do engine conversions for something to do
Oh and wreck rangies sometimes to
It'd get a general neaten up with haveing to do the engine harness, but you won;t get a complete rewire

Yea, can do a tidy up, but don't have enough gear, nor the inclination for a full rewire, plus its a waste of coin

No problem ill let you know its got hid kit, winch, driving lights, need a uhf if you have one for sale?? You said you wreck rangies what aftermarket bits do you have for two dr?

Not alot at the moment, haven't wrecked much for a bit, been busy building mine and others

all needs to be cheap for me to replace what i have on at the moment but,
snorkel home made or proper one
winch bar
rear bar and wheel carrier
roll cage would be nice

Got a rear bar and wheel carrier, $300
Can make snorkels, but probably only do that if you want the engine stuff done, as I'd rather have the car to fit it etc, probably around $200, plus need to hook to motor, dependant on what motor it'll vary, but only a bit of flex pipe

yeah prob thinking 308 with carby setuo easier and less electrics to drown and thats a sweet looking rangie

IMHO, overall, EFI is still more reliable over the long haul than a carby, even with all the electronics.

After coming up toowoomba range with a couple tonne railway sleepers behind.... I'm pretty sure I need a chev conversion as well...
