$1000 upwards.
You can get ARB etc for similar prices.

I reckon you would get more air flow to the radiator with these.
It seams that you have some different winch cradles between these models

Pricing, what a nightmare!!! our laser cutting price has more than doubled in the last 5 years, its insane. but it's not the only thing, when we first started making these we were paying $66inc for sand blasting and powder coating, now that number is up to the $200 mark, just crazy.

just don't get me started on tube prices!!!!!! :bad-words:

So
our standard GQ bar (the blue silver shorty)
high tensile steel cradle,
500MPa CDS (mild steel is 250MPa)
satin black powdercoat
is $1350
(i have only just put this price up, i had been holding it at $1250 for the last 4 years but i just can keep absorbing the costs)

Bogged you can't compare the pricing of an ARB or TJM bar to a tube bar, you are looking at thousands of units per year V's hundreds.

their manufacturing costs (per unit) would a tenth of ours. and someone has to pay that difference.

a question.
is a pressed metal bar a better, stronger, safer frontal protection devise? or, is it the millions of dollars the above brands have spent on advertising that has you thinking they are a superior product?

and while we are on the deep and meaning full
why is a dog called a dog and not a wolf? and why is a wolf called a wolf and not a howl?

Here's two bars that I've made for my Patrol.

Image
This one I'm running now to suit my hydraulic winch.

Image
And this one was to suit a warn high mount, with the two vertical bars to protect the gearbox casing. (if anyone is interested this one is for sale)

I made my latest tube bar to look more stock to avoid unwanted attention, but still be strong enough to take plenty of abuse.

One of the best threads for 'bar pics' I have seen, and there are some sh** hot looking designs as well.

One thing I noticed is that not many have the upper protection for tops of the guards or headlights etc?

Over here most set up's have full front bars to protect those areas...probably just a preference thing I guess.

That cruiser bar looks unique with the upper headlight protection bars not being linked to the lower bumper bar, i like it.

1. I like the look of the Miliweld [SIC?] commercial bars. Basically what I need. Too bad they do not sell them in Ukraine.

2. @MQ: from one Yank to another (although I have not lived in the US for years) when I see your truck I really want an MK or an MQ! The feeling is not unlike lust.

Some of those bars look good from a distance. But there is bugger all strength in the wing areas. As long as you hit something dead centre or along the chassi rails it might be ok. But a little tap on the edge and there going to fold back into guards, headlights and grill.

I think that most are built like mine and have a bracing bar on the side that runs through to the chassis and the lower sections are braced back as well. also thickness of tube is a big help.

I plan on building side scrub bars to slip in and bolt to the front wings which will add even more strength.
