I have changed my mind
I say two seat but the second seat mounted behind the driver.
You still get the narrowness and visibility but you get to carry a winch bitch in the back too.
Would look different too.

I say go the single seater... You're going to the effort to fab it, get something that is going to be more effective and away from the norm. Don't build it and restrict yourself just cos that's what everyone reckons. Do whats going to go the furthest, hardest AND stand out from the crowd.

Could you get the winch bitch in front? Right up front, could maybe spot easier from in the car, then can simply leap forward with winch rope already in hand - a flying start to the winch op.
OK, the driver's visibility could be an issue, but nothing's perfect

i voted single.
i like to watch people pushing the limits now wether it is a single or twin does not really matter but it seems that the boys in the good ol' U. S. of A. are going that due to the low ride and weight achievable
you know you want a moon buggy

Twin seat, not that desparate to lose weight, not like anybody can really tell through tinted windows anyway, I do prefer single spare tyre to double though.
