Thanks Grimbo - I was just about to ask people to put up their hands for spots.

What i will do is count up everyone that wants a spot, and their preference for accomodation and try to work out where we can all stay.

The List so Far:

Grimbo - (1 person - cabin or caravan)
Greg - (1 or 2 persons - cabin or caravan)
Love_Mud - (1 or 2 persons (not including droopypete) - cabin or caravan)

Edit - Updating List of attendies with accomodation preferences.

yes but they have to live in Sydney, so there's a downside to everything :D

(May as well start a Melb vs Syd war seeing as greg & Redzook aren't doing the SPUA vs SPOA thing anymore)

Old Thread Revival.... (breath damn you!!)

Okay - First off - I think we need to work out who is still going from melbourne - if anyone...

1. Grimbo - when do you find out about your overseas trip?

2. Love_mud - i gather you are officially out?

3. DroopyPete - are you going to be back from Greece before then?

Have i missed anyone else?

The news from my end is that I am going to be changing jobs at the end of this month - I expect that means no more internet during the day, so I really want to have this thing organised before then so i know what is and isn't happening and can plan accordingly. (i.e. i need to request time off from my new company if it is happening)...

Are you interested in staying in town in a hotel / cabin / caravan park? Or are you more inclined to stay in a tent on the property?

i'll stay where ever the biggest group of fellow zook drivers will be staying. I have no problems with camping on the property. i belive that everyone should stay in the one place, this would give the best chance of the weekend being highly successfull, half the fun of the weekend will be what happens when were not in our cars. hence where ever we all stay the needs to be a place where we can all gather and tell over the top stories about where we've driven and drink the night away. If the property has an shed or an area where we can set up some 44's with fires in them. Or if a caravan park or hotel has a common room or something that we could us this would also be good.

Is that an official offer to provide a tow vehicle (patrol) guy?

If so - can i please reserve first rights to provide the towee vehicle?

Read the rest of the posts mate - i'm tossing up staying in luxury because i don't like staying in a tent very much.

Plus, i'm not sure about the likelyhood of my car surviving 500kms there and back so i'm thinking about towing it up there and back... this saves wear and tear on the car, and means i can go harder when there without worrying about having to drive it 500kms back home again.

nah, know what ya mean mate... not lookin forward to the drive down from newcastle in my zook, but towing prolly isn't an option. luxury sounds good, depending on $ i guess.... but i agree wit Barathrum, would be better if everyone's in one group

True... but being in a cold paddock isn't as much fun as having a chat over a game of pool or something in the local pub (read - local warm area).

I was going to take the Hilux that way I can carry any spare etc that may be needed along with camping goods etc for anyone taking a Zuk ... but as yoru first in .. that makes you 1st on the list .. :D

The Lux "should" be able to tow a Zuk .. (I am not sure if I will stall have the patrol in a few months as it is for sale)
