ok, some photos as promised.
mounting hi steer arms and IFS box from a 92 surf, first photo shows arms with box pushed up against the front apron of the truck. They would have hit together when flexing front suspension, this is due to me moving the front diff forward when fitting IFS rear springs on the front. So i cut out the metal slightly to allow the box to move forwrd a little more.

From Marks Adaptors site :
MEM-CALS
Mem-cals are on a change over basis and are all RRP $330 inc GST
MEM6VRA - Commodore V6-VR Auto mem-cal.
MEM6VSA - Commodore V6-VS Auto mem-cal.
MEM6VSM - Commodore V6-VS Manual mem-cal.
MEM6VTA - Commodore V6-VT Auto mem-cal.
MEM6VTM - Commodore V6-VT Manual mem-cal.
I never looked into it too far as i found a manual engine to start with but looks like you can exchange them.
Not sure if thats all you need to do.
I got my Mem-cal for VR engine from Pat Gardners
http://www.v6conversions.com.au/ it was only $225 including post and no exchange unit.... Just be prepared for really slow replys on email!!!

Do yourself a favour and plate both sides of the chassie where you have mounted that box. Or it will crack for sure.

Lame question ...
What is the fuel economy like ???
fuel econ

it chews the juice quicker than the old 3y but not ridiculous. I get about 380 - 420kms out of a 60L tank. not sure cause i haven't hooked up the speedo yet.
Got booked for speeding already too.

I could live fuel economy like with that ... my other vehicle is a 4.5 GU .. I am doing well at 20 L per 100 Kms ..
