Depends on your supplier, but MTRs were cheaper by $30-60ea when I got mine.

This differential must be for 35" or less - the price differential on a 37" tyre is closer to $200 . . . about $400 for the MTR and $600 for the Xterrain.

You pay for what you get,

I'd go the extra few bucks on a better tyre any day...

The thing I like about the MTR's is that if you have a problem with one (I had a 37 that was missing some belts) you can just call into your local Goodyear and have it replaced under warranty, no questions asked. (Mine were private imports).

Im close to getting a set of XTerrains myself. Just the 33's to fit on the lux.
I was looking at the MTR's as well, dad has them on his cruiser, but they seemed to be wearing pretty quick.

Currently have BFG muddies on, probably another 10,000ks on them if I stretch them out, curtrently on 85,000ks so im pretty happy with that! Although they are the old style and got a lot more ks than the current muddies.

I will probaby just use a BFG or something for a spare, that way I will not have to worry about fitting a spare XTerrain incase its direction runs the wrong way. A mate has just fitted the 35's to his 80 series and loves them!

They still look good, although Xterrains are deceptive, they dont look like they have deep tread when new..

Does any body know what the tread depth of the xterrain is new? They don't look like they have very deep tread from photos.

Thanks

Dave.
