Rusty's old zook that is getting built up atm with an LS series V8 would be pretty special but I think on 37's it's under tyred.

Mine would be turbo G13B GTi motor, LWB, NT, Bundera axles, SPUA, YJ Jeep springs, Shackle reversal, Big gaurd chop with bushwacker flares or Wrangler rears, 37" maxxis trepadors, exo cage with custom tray back, endless air with tank, 6.5 transfers and 5.12 diff gears, tube fron bar with fully worked high mount winch, flat belly pan fully plated up, power steering.

If you used a bundy hiclown it would drive through all 8 layers of gravity in high range.

i will get shot down for saying it, but i think once u start swapping diff's, motors, transfer.. then put half a nother car in and under it, for ME it stops being a zook. Starts being a "truck".
Anywho, back on track

that gets my vote for a cool build

why, it would work to get you out of somewhere. you don't always need a full size spare

which one?
there was one in SEQ with kwarlers and hilux diffs on a coily hard top

or

chopzook's one old white tin top with GQ diffs , exo and 44 swampers

Mine would be using completly stock suzuki parts

LJ20 with a LJ50 motor
LJ20 diffs using L40 6.5 diff gears :-)
Standard 600-16 bar treads

Basically unstoppable

weight 600kgs
final drive = 6.5 diffs x 3.014 low range x 3.835 first gear = 75.13 :-) :-)

Top speed of 60 kph but can be a framed behind any car

OR

LJ50 with LJ80 diffs with custom front axles to fit 1.3 CV's
H25 v6 + 4speed auto
33 inch centerpides on mega offset wheels

Darwin/west oz/tasmania.. Currently in Darwin at the moment but heading to South east asia next month.

Thinking about coming home in October to build another zook to take on a long road trip... see how i go.

Seeing as this is a dream zook build thread and i don't want to be flamed for chitchat:

31's on reversed rims
Gears 4.19 - so I can still hit a HWY without melting the engin in Hi
Custom rears up front with chassis extention (Help the weight distribution and soften the ride)
Virtual lift as done by the D-man for stumped in members section
EFI
Long range tank

Thats pretty muchh it, and I would hope it's under the $3500.
Built for sand and distance.
