yes
haha. pretty much right.

They are a food shop, but what they do is sell other 'interesting' things to get people like you to 'stop in' next time.

so they often will get say 1000 winches, across australia, then when they are gone they are gone, but it gets all of us saying 'aldi'.

then next time it will be a rattle gun etc etc. you get the picture.

All the goodies they sell are cheap price wise, but seem good enough for everyday use, but would probably fail if you used it on a commercial level.

www.aldi.com.au

May find items there after the sale, but you may find they will be gone the day they go on sale.

Aldi sell great 'homebrand' stuff, and some completely and utterly random stuff. Half the time I reckon the buyers for Aldi are on LSD.

im pretty sure the lsd would be the same

hmmm if they sold metalic lsd's or lockas instead of LSD that would be so sweet.

doestnt look too bad for $50

its looks like the same as the $99 one from arb
Anything will be better than the arb POS. I've had Kmart 12volt guns and also another cheapie and was changing tyres every 2nd weekend when I had the cheapy ones and they lasted well over 12mths. One lasted over 2years! The arb POS didnt last 3mths only used a couple of times. It kept running on without cracking and worked spontaneously. Took it back to the galahs at arb, they feed me full of bulls*^t and said to run straight off the battery with car started and it'll be fine, even though I took it in to them and it did the same thing :bad-words: I took it out to my next 4wd meet and it ended up in the next campsight due to frustration. :2gunfire: Never been a fan of arb $$$ and that didn't help!!!

Anyone have the compressor? I think I might pick one up to see how it goes. Also, the inverter might be ok for light use?

They have 200 stores but they are expanding up that way I think.

They have food plus other stuff, their stuff isn't too bad really.

It's a German Company so what they do to keep costs right down is they own all the companies or only get in decent stuff, They have no probs with swapping stuff I don't think they want to fuss or problems with trying to get out of it so just do swaps etc.

The bike stuff and other stuff all comes and goes every 3-4 months over the whole year so if you miss out this time it's no big deal as it'll come up again.

As for the bike stuff they have summer and winter bike stuff that is usually around the start of summer or winter.

They don't do the BS sales like Kmart like buy 3 items and sell all 3 items to 1 person, they'll send about 10 items to each store around Australia so 10-15 items will be at a store and they'll sell 1-2 items to 1 person, they sell all sorts of stuff at different times like washing machines/dryers for $200 etc.

The best thing is to take a look at the product boards and you'll know whats in the store for 1 week as they only keep stuff for about a week, also once they have sold out that's it you can't get anymore untill next time or you sus out the other stores.

It would be good to find out the manufacturer of the winch...
I know the motorbike boots that they had a while back were made by Alpine Star, just had the logo removed...

Love how it says:

"Tested to AS1418.2"

Doesn't mean it actually passed or anything, just "tested to".

Has anyone tried the Aldi nailguns that are in the stores now ? , are they a "Brad" nail or a "T" nail ?, I think that is the correct terms for the nails as I need a T nail gun.
