its actuallt pretty good on fuel... now with the straight gas getting around 4.5-5.5 kays per litre on the highway taking it easy... around town it gets 3.5-4.. and towing around 2 kays.. donk by itself was around the 7.5 markJeff80 wrote:Dare I ask, whats it like on fuel? KM's/L?

That's 18 to 22L per 100 on Hiway and 25 to 28 L per 100 around town.PSI-EFI wrote:its actuallt pretty good on fuel... now with the straight gas getting around 4.5-5.5 kays per litre on the highway taking it easy... around town it gets 3.5-4.. and towing around 2 kays.. donk by itself was around the 7.5 markJeff80 wrote:Dare I ask, whats it like on fuel? not alot of difference i guess considering your adding another 150 cubic inches & 2.4 litres on the 5litreStruth wrote:That's 18 to 22L per 100 on Hiway and 25 to 28 L per 100 around town.PSI-EFI wrote:its actuallt pretty good on fuel... now with the straight gas getting around 4.5-5.5 kays per litre on the highway taking it easy... around town it gets 3.5-4.. and towing around 2 kays.. donk by itself was around the 7.5 markJeff80 wrote:Dare I ask, whats it like on fuel? Pretty thirsty, my EFI 5.0 in a Runner gets 20L per 100 around town and 17L per 100 hiway.
But we don't put these engines in unless we can afford to fill the tank
I say GO FOR IT!
And probably 1000kg on the riggq351 wrote:not alot of difference i guess considering your adding another 150 cubic inches & 2.4 litres on the 5litreStruth wrote:That's 18 to 22L per 100 on Hiway and 25 to 28 L per 100 around town.PSI-EFI wrote:its actuallt pretty good on fuel... now with the straight gas getting around 4.5-5.5 kays per litre on the highway taking it easy... around town it gets 3.5-4.. and towing around 2 kays.. donk by itself was around the 7.5 markJeff80 wrote:Dare I ask, whats it like on fuel? thanks chiefgq351 wrote:looks grouse mate!! very neat job
how is it on straight gas
thanks mate, yeah i was thinking of going gas reseach or something but not sure yet! i built mine myself its just mild fully ballanced, 10.1 comp, stage 4 crane cam, some head work, edelbrock manifold, 750dp holley, around the 440-460hp..PSI-EFI wrote:thanks chiefgq351 wrote:looks grouse mate!! very neat job

yer its awesome on gas.. i rekon it runs as good as when it was on petrol, however we do miss the punch that it had up high and near takeoff.. however its still good and quick
ur one looks sick.. crate engine? looks like a nice fit.. hows your one go? and what sort of engine specs have you got? like for e.g my old mans one is around the 8.5 comp with a 502 cam.. its more like a stocky, just something with a bit more torque than the 4.5.. yours would proberly be more of a performance thing.. you from the states?
ooh ye.. sounds like your one has some balls.. must be a michine in mud and bush.. i recon gas research would be the way to go.. plus if you want you can run twin snorkerls or 2 into 1 for the water.. the only thing is that if your a dyno junkie, there's not too many gas research tuners out there, thats what we found when we wanted to dyno ourse, so still hasnt been read.. engines around 390 hp though.. dont expect much though, just a tow horse..gq351 wrote:PSI-EFI wrote:thanks mate, yeah i was thinking of going gas reseach or something but not sure yet! i built mine myself its just mild fully ballanced, 10.1 comp, stage 4 crane cam, some head work, edelbrock manifold, 750dp holley, around the 440-460hp..gq351 wrote:very neat job

How do you know all this, and yet you live on kiribati?thrashlux wrote:It would depend on the engineer with regard to how flexible he would be with the emission requirements to weather you could use the wolf computer
just because it is efi dosn't mean it will pass an emission test
normally a computer will need to have closed loop control to pass a 1996 emissions test I dont think the wolf has this fully sorted to the point of satisfying an emissions test
You would most likley need an m800 with the lamda upgrade
you need by law to be able to pass the emissions of the original year of manufacture of the engine or the car which ever is the newer of the two
if you go lpg all that goes out the door
this is why so may ac cobras etc are LPG
Or the other trick is get it complied with the dedicated LPG then convert
it to dual fuel after the dust settles but that may be illeagal but sure to get under the radar
just an idea
