i read on outers that they splice using a quality jointing paste, best brand would be "STAGG"

I find blue tac is great for hard bonding joints, its been holding my winch on for years without any trouble.chpd80 wrote:Can I graft two zd30's together to make one awesome bomb (opps sorry) motor????
What is the usual way people graft two motors together?, welded?, Glued or just bolted together?,
I wouldn't put money on that...lewie wrote:nonerb30 into my GU wagon. is it worth it? and wat sort of power gains will i get?
well as long as you ate it in the car i wouldnt see any reason why it wouldntTHICKNICK wrote:i own a 94 nissan patrol ute and is a tb42 and im running dual fuel, my question is if i took the gas tank out from under the tray and ate it would it still work????????
No spares needed. Reverse the polarity, have the exhaust as the intake and intake as exhaust, bingo, reverses the timer on the grenade.bogged wrote:can I fit a ZD30 into my Barina?
what spares should I carry with me?
Thanks.. I now have the ZD fitted to th Barina with the 1/2 inch twin stacks, and turbo 1200 gearbox... I wanna know can I legally run 28's on the barina? if so, how do I fit them up? can I get away with a 2mm body lift??cmcd wrote:All of them.bogged wrote:.. ZD30 .. what spares should I carry with me?
yeah it sould all be sweet, you need lift the mounts off the rails, otherwise if you use 2MM blocks, you will crack the pan/mounts, and it will knock when you take off. just lift it and leave the bumpers at std height - it will let air flow through and keep the motor coolier. do you have pics??bogged wrote:Thanks.. I found it to be too rigid for offroad work... Where you want the chassis to flex, and the suspension to stay still.. I went with paddle pop sticks cut in 1/4's and taped to gether.. Have had no issues so far, completing 12 tuff truck challenges, and 40 OBC's... top 1 position in all of them.tna racing wrote:would a pvc chassis be better?
oh i seen that car, man its so sweet. and that winch that works of the rear wheels via a old commo rims is so sweet. got the best line speed ever. And i loved how you used al pop-rivetes to hold the winch drums to the wheels, so very light.bogged wrote:I found it to be too rigid for offroad work... Yes, but only if you have the model with double overhead underhangs & lowered back seat ashtrays.bogged wrote:can I fit 31's on my GQ with legal 8inch suspension lift and 9inch body lift?
yea I got the dually Commodore rims on it now, didnt think anyone else had seen them, think it was VK they came out on??Reddo wrote:oh i seen that car, man its so sweet. and that winch that works of the rear wheels via a old commo rims is so sweet. got the best line speed ever. Hey Bogged, if you want chassis flex then you need to get rid of the paddle pop sticks (as good as they are) and use the plastic straws with the flexible neck. Yeah that's what I'm talking about ... flex like you've never seen before and super strong.bogged wrote:yea I got the dually Commodore rims on it now, didnt think anyone else had seen them, think it was VK they came out on??Reddo wrote:oh i seen that car, man its so sweet. and that winch that works of the rear wheels via a old commo rims is so sweet. got the best line speed ever. the pop rivers - well they arent really, they are dobs of silastic painted silver. MUCH stronger.

It all comes down to the special flex joint .. someone should patent that idea

Is there by anychance a hiclone fitted to your vechicle? if so try pulling the ashtray out 3 mm this should do the trickchpd80 wrote:Yep thats a common mistake many have made before so dont feel too bad.
The coco pops are made from a 1 sided 295gsm castcoated paper while the cornflakes are made from a stronger 360gsm Artboard which gives any motor a guaranteed 173 kw at the wheels.
Easy mistake to make mate
Not sure about the window noise though, try it at night see if its any better.
oh i know where you went wrong, you should of used the iron man cereal box, that tuff as titaniaumfamilybus wrote:gee you blokes carry on like dicks!![]()
what about us real 4wd blokes who take our motoring serious?![]()
at the moment Ive got a blown head gasket on my Maverick and think it may have been cause i made it from the wrong gasket paper! should i have used cornflake packet instead of coco pops?
and when Ive got my windows down i hear a real loud humming noise from the tyres but when the windows are up and stereo on i cant hear em, is there a reason why?
I couldnt afford a Hiclone, so was was just gonna put one of these in my home made 2" PVC snorkle, will it work?KYSI wrote:Is there by anychance a hiclone fitted to your vechicle? if so try pulling the ashtray out 3 mm this should do the trickchpd80 wrote:Yep thats a common mistake many have made before so dont feel too bad.

for weight reduction just take the snorkel off and run it into ur pvc chassis this should produce 14kw per foot of 2'' of pvc pipe but maxium performance is achieved from 3'', i hope this helps mate. oh also the blue fans are known to be alot better then pinkReddo wrote:I couldnt afford a Hiclone, so was was just gonna put one of these in my home made 2" PVC snorkle, will it work?KYSI wrote:Is there by anychance a hiclone fitted to your vechicle? if so try pulling the ashtray out 3 mm this should do the trickchpd80 wrote:Yep thats a common mistake many have made before so dont feel too bad.

they should force the air into the motor, because, well im hoping, that the faster i go, the more airflow im gonna get.
adam, is it 19'' spring lift? or does it have a body lift also?tna racing wrote:what ratios should i run for 20" tyers on 19" lift?
