TIG is great, but there is no welding holy grail. There are things that MIG can do which the TIG cant. A few things that come to mind are - fused contact tips and birds nests. I'm a tig welder, but have done heaps more mig work. Horses for courses 
I've been Mig welding for the last couple of weeks and it just reinforces why I don't like it. TIG is just a different process of welding and for most of the stuff that most of the people do the MIG is more appropriate.
