Spool Lockers in a 4runner.

Well i never worry that much as to back off into corners but if your accelerating hard and turning it will lock or if your turning around a roundabout and accelerate it will lock
Offroad you never notice except when ur trying to climb a steep hill or rock step and the back wont follow the front then it can be annoying but you get where non locked trucks dont
I was considering 1 in the front, but figured if im trying to get up something on an angle or something steep when the wheels spin it will spit my front off line and could cause more problems, is that true or are lockers in the front ok??

I still would rather an auto locker in the rear to the front. people regularly mention having to stuff around with unlocking a front hub to aid turning etc. I have not owned one, i was going to get one but decided to wait for air lockers.
and cv's are the weakest part of the drive train so loading up the front dissproportionately is less ideal.
autos do effect steering - albeit it can be worked around and is better is set up well.
personally I would put it in the rear. ask anyone with dual air lockers which one they utilse the most and they will say they use the rear more.
but what ever - you got a locker when does it go in?

hey mate,
i have a set of greased up CVs ready to go when these ones break after the locker goes in the front. Im saving up for a air locker for the back and a commo motor for it.
Here is what it currently looks like. The locker goes in 2moz arvo depending on weather as it wont fit in the garage.

Can you let us know how it goes cause i was thinking of doing the same thing just concerned about all the ''don't do it'' arguments in this post
My main concern was when its locked it slides side ways and wont go where u point it on steep sections, also turning in the loose stuff is it a problem?
