you have inspired me to check my calipers... damn it pretty much like yours, only one piston working properly, the others limited or seized.

mine are costing $110 each to rebuild as long as the pistons are ok, what did yours cost?

im looking forward to having a bit more bight in the front end
Not sure on the cost because I dropped them off today so should have them back tomorrow or so. Will let you know then.

Lucky I didnt jump in your truck when I picked up the master cylinder or else I would have thought it was just normal :)

Next upgrade will be a 80 series booster and master cylinder. I dont think a rear disc conversion is needed. Should stop much better once the rebuilt calipers are back on.

probably is normal for luxs that age.

i have the upgraded calipers in mine and will be doing the 80 series booster as well at some stage, but will see what its like with the new calipers at this stage.

if i had known before you got your calipers rebuilt, i could have hooked you up with a set of spare upgraded ones to rebuild instead. such is life.

i got them for mine, thinking i could upgade them... but the previous owner beat me too it

pushing the brake pedal with the calipers off/pads out wont tell you if a caliper is siezed my friend. I think you are wasting alot of money.

i restricted movement of other pistons to ensure they would move if they could.

im not hugely fussed if thats still not correct as if it improves the brakes at all it will be worth it, even with the better calipers etc the brakes have never been able to lock up 31s at all.

Got my calipers back and there were q few that had seized up. I'll put them on over the weekend and see how my braking is.

thahanko, I paid $160 for both calipers to be rebuilt (using existing pistons)

Yeah they were pretty quick. I wanted it back on the same day but the seal kit got delivered late, so it was done by the next morning.

Good price and quick service.

Ok got the lux back with new caliper seals, master and stuff. Stops okish but I still feel its not that great.

I seem to get a bit of pedal travel before the brakes feel like they start to engage. Is this just normal? I got it checked out by a brake place so Im sure they know what their doing.

Might need to chuck on a 80 series booster to see if it helps.
