sometimes you don't even get that,

at least when your cheap arse winch dies, you'd be half expecting it too.

I bought a Kmart special and it lasted over 2 years, then bought a autobarn special and it lasted over a year. the POS arb crap lasted only a couple of months and played up!!! Shove ya brand name s^#t up your Ar#e as most are overrated! Have you actually tryed other brands for your own proof :?: :?: :?:  Sorry rant over!
EDIT: Have also bought other things that are suppose to be the ducks nuts and had same trouble (eg Tyres and other mechanical parts, tools)

Mick i beleive its not the tyres fault, more the dodgy arse holes who are fitting them at the tyre shop, then they try to blame it on you because you were standing there well thats personal experience on a $400+ Centerpede..................ohhhhhh bite tongue bite tongue!!! :bad-words:

The Aldi winch i think so long as your not using it in comps, it will be just as reliable as the big names. The bloke i know who lives a couple of houses up bought one when Aldi first sold them. He has punished it by making it single line pull his truck up rock ledges, Sand, mud, Towing his camper in the same territory and to date its still going strong.

But seeing as though you get what you pay for, sell your truck go buy a H1 Hummer and you will never have a problem.............BS  ;) ;)

A Winch is a luxury and if travelling in the one vehicle in a remote area. Be buggered if my last resort is an electric winch. So for that price if i didnt already have a winch i would buy one myself.
