Not sure how Bill is going, what colour is his GQ, Kym Bolton isn't doing as well as excepted yet, he may have done some damage because he rang me just before for another competitor's number for a parts run back into town.

*So far we believe that no-one has pulled out
*Mick Hingerty broke shocker tower
*Colin Pond has steering issues with steer arm and tierod end
*Greg Scanlon suffering from fuel problems
*Hobbsy's ProComp XTerrains survived unscathed after the 65 waypoint Nite SS (Forgot how many we had last year)
*Kowari seems to look the goods but are struggling to get it happening
*Chunck hit a tree on Goat Run damaging door(carbon fibre), glass and pillar and will now have a dust issue.
*Bill Lyne seems to have some motor issues with it running on 7 cyl
*Mall Graham "loves his tight new box" and is doing well.
* The NZ team (is there more than 1?) are doing well
Don't hold me responsible for any mis-information. I will post more if I hear more.

Bill Lyne has fixed the motor problem, but is now back at silvercity with transfer case issues. The french team is also there with a bent axle housing. Hopefully Billy will be back into it tomorrow.

To give you an idea of the vehicles competing, in the Top 20 after Saturday night, there was only 1 Turbo diesel and that was Chunks running an enormous amount of power for a diesel, the rest are Turbo or Supercharged Petrols and V8's.
Sorry, didn't get prologue results, let at about 1:30pm yesterday arvo.
Does anyone else see a patern among all these cars.
2. Greg Scanlan - VIC - 3m03s
3. Dallas Rundle - VIC - 3m04s
4. Steve Lowe - VIC - 3m0?s
5. Darren Green - VIC - 3m07s
All run engines turbo charged by JPC.
Joe.
To succeed, focus on the solution, not the problem.

The format of the event makes it hard to tell how you are placing on a daily basis as you end up in a group of about 15 teams. You can compare how you're going with your group but have only "hear say" as to how other groups are going and that is only when you bump into them. It's designed so that groups don't mingle, except at Silver City 4WD in Broken Hill and maybe Fuel stops at Packsaddle, that you may catch up with someone else and it too hard to compare notes as others don't remember. The idea is to be consistant with your times, have no DNF's and be there at the end.
If your mates can navigate and recover efficiently and keep it all together they may be there at the end, but there will be some tuff competition out there to keep them pushing their KOWARI truck to the limit!
GooD Luck to them
I will keep you updated as soon as I hear more.

I have a few update from Group A, Kym Bolton broke a CV, but they have replaced with a GQ one instead???
Darren and Sandy busted a front panhard rod on the gorge run and also pushed the radaitor into the supercharger. They then fixed all that and went on the get the fastest time on the winch wall for the day at Pollamacca.
