The Allpro disc handbrake works no where near as good as a stock Cruiser Transfer Drum Brake as long as its in good condition. The only advantage to having a disc instead of the drum is it makes it easier to clean if you get in mud a lot. Other than that the drum has way more clamping force. The pads on a Allpro disc set up are not much larger than a 50cent piece so compared to a drum brake shoe that is approx 1.5" wide and 6" long X2 it just doesnt have the same surface area. I know so many people that have bought the Allpro set up and been very dis-appointed.

As ive still got H/brake set up on back of transfer.
As long as you have a full floating rear axle most use either cruiser front Discs and Calipers or hilux Discs and Calipers.

Yep, I used cruiser front discs and falcon calipers, on my 70 series but found that I need to upgrade to an 80 series master cylinder and prob booster as well.

Thanks for the pic Bentzook.

so there is no shiming the subaru calipers or discs to make them line up?
So all u do is make up the bracket out of a bit of 10mm plate? bolt it behind using 3 bolts drill 2 holes for the caliper mounts and it will all line up? seems to easy.

Then spin the park brake lever 90deg on the calipers. does the standard hilux cable work or do u have to mod it? I noticed bentzooks pic didnt have the hilux cable.

With the brake lines just cut the hard line and re use the male nipple, and have a new line made up with a toyota female on 1 end and sub? on the other.

Thanks Shane
