I never touched the leaf packs never had a need to down the track I also removed the bodylift and ran 36" Iroks without any scrubbing ;)
The 3" springs we do are our own design. Similar to the TG springs, however they have a slightly higher spring rate. The reason for this is that the TG springs proved to be a bit too soft for anything other than the 22R motors.

The market down here is different in that there are more diesels and more engine conversions done to the lux's (in the US they don't have the diesels) and we also tend to do more trail driving rather than pure low speed rock crawling.

The new springs wilil still give you the same amount of flex, but are better suited to our market and terrain than the TG springs.

You are from loktup4x4 right?

I want my car to be setup for rocks not for fanging down dirt roads??
I want it to be nice and soft like it is now...not harder to suit a diesel???

Do you still sell the softer TG springs? As shown in old mates car above?
So you guys redesigned the 3" springs, do you still have the TG 2" ones
in the softer spring rate???

I will be doing an engine conversion soon, but I am going to put in a
3.8L commo V6 which weighs about the same as a 22R.

3.8L motor = 197.73kgs
22R motor = 196.82kgs

what would be the best replacement spring in the front for my current
ones in your opinion.
Maximium flex possible, to replace a 1235mm long main leaf.
Want a nice soft ride aswell.

Cheers,
Bart

hey, yea i payed $1500, i bought the kit off ebay from Hobzees 4WD shop in mornington

the shocks arent full extended no, there was still alot of travel left, those photos were taken at the start, i got the forklift to crank the wheels up alot higher just until the front tyres started to lick the ground.

i have arb air lockers anyway so flex isnt a huge issue with me, im happy with what ive got for the moment :P

Just got a call back from Chris at Loktup4x4.
good to see people still do what they say they are gonna.

Top bloke too, knew his shit.
might be purchasing some of his leafies soon
they sound the goods and at a flat length of
1180 the 3" lift fronts sound like the go.
(my current springs are 1240mm long)

looks like they flex pretty good on boof's lux.
sorta the right performance I was looking at.
And I don't have to remove leaves or anything like that either.
just install em and wheel em...I like this.

Cheers,
Bart

i dunno if youve seen mine.. but mines a daily in qld, so cops are all over us lol, ive got flogged out 2 inch fronts in the front with some 2-3inch rear leaves in the pack, not the mains, there still a true front so to speak. The rears are just some belton springs, again with bits n pieces.

Not the highest car, as i wanna keep po po away, handles good onroad n goes good offroad... Lockers i noticed help the suspension work alot more when i got them. I had ifs rears n all the stuff to go with but they wernt as good as hyped up to be..

When i put the 3rz in it it gained 2inches of lift. Diesel must way a shitload more.

I also have diff forward 38mm with stock stearing n straight adjustable draglink. standard shackles f+r...

heres some pics n some on the bigger tires doing what it does.. getting raped. :D
