i do believe mr toyota never made a gxl 70 short wheel base as the 70 series was takin over by the 71 short wheel base series in oct 99 and gxl 7X series were released in 07... i presume you have a GXL 76 wgn 78 troopy or 79 ute, not a 70 as they stoped selling in aus in 92

its running a dts kit with 15 psi, i do around 1000k`s per week.
Finally someone not dreaming!
1hz can put out 150% for yonks as long as the cooling system and EGTs are kept in check.
Too many people dont look after their cars and ask over 100% of them... thats why they blow...
Hi all...Im just wondering if you guys have pulled down a 100 000 klm turboed 1HZ ?
nope, and dont ever intend to.
towed the car and fuel and equipment up to winton on the weekend, it ran strong and smooth all the way there and back. 3.5 hr trip one way. est. weight would be about 2.2-2.5 ton for car and fuel on the trailer, and another 500kg worth of tools and gear. it never got hot on the big long hills, and pulled the load at 110 kmh.

Toyota calls the new 76, 78 and 79 series landcruiser V8s the 70 series range. it is the name they put on a receipt after you have it serviced etc. and is even at they list parts under. only aftermarket parts are 79 series. and of course the pre V8 cruisers are 79 series and 78 series troopy and ute.

Thats what im saying so no one in oz has a new 70 series
plus the toyota 70 series stoped in oct99 and turned into a 71 series due to coil front and 5 wheel nuts new grill etc
If you look at your tag it will say vdj76 if you have a the wgn vdj78 for troopy vdj79 for the ute non will say vdj70
People get confused when they said the all new 70 series they should have said the all new 7x

At trade price from toyota ,,,cheap,,, i know i thought toyota would be selling them easliy for a 1g just order one for a early hdj80 not sure if they differ later on i dont think they do
you only need the front half of the manifold well the front half meaning from 1-4 port manifold then when you pull your std manifold it splits and you reuse the piston56 manifold

what im saying is that when i took mine in to get some shit they refered to it as a 70 series, throughout the whole sale process it was called a 70 series, when we shook hands and he gave me the keys he said "if you have any issues with you 70 series please come back and we will fix it" i always called mine a 70 series as that is what my purchase contract states i bought, a VDJ79FTE 70 series ute. would you like me to scan it and post it up?

Say if someone had a 95 landcruiser ute and you asked them what cruiser you got mate they are not going to sy i got a 95 70series cruiser ute they will say i got a 75 series ute
all 70 series are from the same shape why dont people say i got a 2000 70 series ute ... its because in the whole 70 series range the ute is called the 79 series in the whole range of 70 series cruisers so you have a 79 simple

to any fella that knows their cruisers that means you have a short wheel base ute ??
as for "the old i6 models" the rest of the world gets the new front end shaped landcruiser 76,78 79 series with the 1hz still..they dont have the hole in the bonnet... does that mean you would call them a new 70 or still a 79
only aus and some of africa get the turbo v8 diesel
