Yep, i have seen them in a few 8" and some 9.5" but as to which ones, its anyones guess. Generally the earlier models..

Another option that is availible is just putting the Nissan (GU, GQ) under by using a set of mixed arms.

I was over at 2DExtreme the other day and Dale had an 80 series there which had 37's and a very hard life. It had a set of his arms fitted which allowed the guy to bolt in a GU diff without other mods from what I saw.

Maybe give him a call for more info as I didn't pay to much attention as I was to busy checking out my 40 :>

i have been running an 80s front diff in my com bundy for over 12months now.
Longfield cvs and axles, ARB locker 4.88 heat treated cyroed gears and built with solid spacer.
running 42s reduction gears and V8 and no breakages.

it will also come down to driving, if you lift the front up dont land full noise!!

oh and rear diffis 80s aswell, just ARB locker and stock axles.
